Fairy Faire Trade Fair in Ferrell

Post by gutemensch » Mon Dec 05, 2016 7:26 am

I can't thank people enough.

Pleth for taking an idea and running with it. Even when I went down sick well before the fair and could hardly see to type from a head cold. Pleth was still busy hammering away, creating and supporting the idea of Fairy Faire with 100% of her passions for our game.

Smeec/Gorgon for the help IG/OOC.

Ony for the support

Fletcher for being Fletcher

Frannie for always bringing up foods IG.

And every single one of you that showed up. Fairy lover, tourist and admitted Fairy haters.

Thank you :prost:

Sorry I got distracted a few times by RL or got called away cause of it. I hope everyone had a blast and enjoyed themselves.

If I left your name out.. Me Bad. Thank you too to all the DMs for coverage and team behind them.

The Trade Fairs (like anything else here really) have always been a team effort. I don't mean just the DM/CCC/QA team (yes, they rock!), or even the SATF guild as a team, but everyone, including all the people who show up, write the forum posts and other things. You all make these events what they are.

You are very welcome for the help, but I'll join you in thanking everyone else, for making the Trade Fairs something I always enjoy!

The decoration of the Trade Hall was stunning

Just wanted to thank the team and all the players that made this all come together in such a grand style. From wherever you looked, the regalia, conversations, events and just the sheer generosity of so many really made it a grand time.

Thank you one and all.

Cheers,

I had such a blast with Argle's first time merchanting at the Faire. Once I turned down the gamma, the decor was just too amazing - the mushroom fairy ring in the hall was an awesome touch! TWO pools to party in. Foods and drinks galore to fit the theme. Thanks to all who played Argle's game too - I'll be using the rules as part of a RL board game design I'm Kickstartering next year. Wish we'd gotten to playtest the advanced version, including the "cheater's rules" (thanks Lilliane) but that could always happen another time. Portal there from near where the start tent opens, what a way to get newcomers there easily! *claps*

Another excellent time! There's a lot of hard work that goes into the Faire behind the scenes, so thank you to everyone who contributed to that. Thanks to everyone who showed up, and took part in the fun!
Here's to the next one...

I had a great time this past weekend attending the event. As usual, interacting with everyone was memorable, and the setting with all the fairy decorations was really impressive. We've had back-to-back themed Faires; lets keep the ball rolling with this.

Kudos to everyone who made the event happen and to those who participated, and special nods toward the DM staff who helped throw a bit of flavor into the Fairy Faire.

Had an absolute blast, it was everything a trade fair wants to be with tons of interaction beyond the simple vending of items, was glad to see the auctioning of a few accessible items for players with less than bottomless pockets, alongside the always entertaining Deeeeep pocket auctions.

The decorations were stunning, though I must admit to experiencing rather significant lag compared to previous fairs.

Aneirin's hat is off to all that made this fair happen - awesome work.

Fairy wings. Pool parties. Fairy fire. Games. Auctions, interactions and a bit of good fortune. MJ even preformed a song!

I had a lovely time, thank you DM's and players alike.

Had a blast at the fairy Trade Faire, so thanks to all who made it possible and to all the players also. The trade hall was really great looking both inside and out. All the flowers, the fairy ring, the picnic baskets, drinks and the two pools were nice touches. So thanks again to you all, its things like this that make Avlis come alive.
