Second Place

It was a hard choice this year, so many good rpers, so much content.
Everyone on this list is an awesome role player and deserves a vote. But, the PC's that ended up having the most influence on my PC this year were hands down Tor and Ewnin so that is where my votes went.
Woof, this is a hard one for me. There are several people on here I'd like to vote for more than once.
AJ is the embodiment of chaos and madness!
Thienna: She is like the calm eye of the storms that seem to sweep around the lands. Wise and the voice of reason, and full of perspective, but not afraid to mentally or physically give you a slap to the face or smack on the head, if one needs to be...smarted up (for lack of a better word). Has given my Character food for thought as it were , or smarts them up(see above*points*), depending on how things went. But has at times also been full of surprises, which encludes the odd kiss ((sheeesh, do not tell Archibald ; ) )) and hugs. Always a good time RPing with her and at least interesting, if nothing else at times, Just too bad she is an elf. ; ) But, seriously, Thienna has had a lot of influence and advice for my character for the last two years or more, and helps my Character to try to find his nice calm center of being.
Ronan whats his name(sorry forgot his last name): All I can say is that Ronan is RPed very well as I do not think there has been any other PC in a long while that causes my character to have such a...reaction , whenever they spot Ronan. All his little mannisms and such just make you want to put your hands around his neck and start to squeeze very slowly while looking into his eyes to watch as they start to bulge out. And all that tea drinking cannot be good for him. Maybe that is why he flicks his cloak and grips his staff at times. Ronan does come off as a intelligent, cool, logical at times and refined sort of mage, and I hate to admit it, one that is not really all that bad of a guy, for an Ebony. Once again, a very well played character and while not really a joy for my character to be around, obviously is for others. Well played Mr Ebony Mage. *shakes fist*
The random stuff that Taruma says makes every chance meeting with her a blast.
Gann is hilarious and disgusting. Great guy, though a bit reckless with a fireball.
Tor recieves #1 because whenever I hear the word barbarian I think Tor
Anierin #2 For his beautiful songs
Mr. Kraith, a cookie lover, a mystery, a gentleman.
Taruma has been fantastic this year. She's consistently challenged various of my character's ways of thinking whilst staying fresh and fun. She's not all bubbles and rainbows, there's a history and scars underneath that smile and it's been a delight finding them.
I voted for MJ, because although being an O'Man, everyone knows she is the Greatest Confounder Ever. She spins her webs of chaos and madness into every corner of Avlis.
I have to vote for Ronan this year. I can't even list all the reasons why.
2015 was the year of Gann for me. He's a great character, with a lot of accessible surface to play off, as well as a good deal of depth if you dig. Ask him for a story or an opinion, and he'll give you one. It's been fantastic to watch him both apathetic and impassioned, and to see the many things he's gotten accomplished. Consistently wonderful, and responsible for some of my favorite moments this year.
Kassha Firehart is someone I've raved about in the comments before. Played generously and often hilariously, he's the epitome of what you want from a red mage: dedicated to pushing magic to its limits, consequences be damned. It's nice to have watched this character go from someone who was sort of a joke to someone who's arrived as a pillar of the community.
Ronan Ceril is a treasure trove of information and a character who has been through a lot to get to where he is. He's got a dark set of priorities, and he tends a bit toward glumness, but he's also got a delightful, understated sense of humor, and a willingness to work with and open to people that has been lovely. He's game for more than you might expect of someone so reserved.
I have deeply enjoyed MJ's struggle with hopelessness and revenge. I like it when she's gone creepy and snapish, because tragedy isn't easy, and it rounds out her gentler, more fun-loving side nicely.
Liliana Be'letane. Oh my god. So incredibly funny! Also one of the hardest workers I've seen on Avlis in terms of chasing down plot. And props to her for putting up with knives in the back and shutting out by the people she's trying to help. Gracefully snarky. Very well done.
I've really enjoyed those performances of Anaerin's I've been able to catch. Excellent barding!
Tor Varson is the most dependably played character on Avlis.
Yanyu Choym is one of the best paladin's I've ever seen. She is patient and engaged with the world, and always trying to drag it toward the light.
Vastin Dermane is a character I could talk about for ages. He's full and rich, with a background, philosophy, faith, and obsession that colors his every choice and every utterance. He's one of the most real and fleshed out (ironically, all things considered) characters I've ever played with.
Jacksen Aiken is a lawful delight. I don't know why people keep saying you can't have fun with characters in this alignment. His humor through work and tragedy are always fun, and there is no question of where he stands but that doesn't mean he won't let you buy him a drink and pick his brain. Great character.
Kice Ansu takes some work to crack past her exterior, which makes perfect sense. She's someone who's been hurt and betrayed in the past, and that's affected how she looks at the world. But once you get there, it's very worth it. Subtle and a joy to play across from.
Gann is one of the most believable and wonderful personalities I've had the honour of getting to know.
Unfathomable and deeply fascinating, MJ is a shining little star I'd dare to wish upon just to see what happens.
Thaylis Beign is not on this list, but he deserves to be. He's a great character, a fantastic community member, and someone who's always there continuing to be that solid, dependable patriot we all know and love.
Having only two votes, I fell short of a few, but shout outs to Taruma and Lilli'ana, both amazing characters, pushing the envelope of quality RP.
How could I not vote for Taruma? She's an absolute pleasure to rp with.
Arc and Vastin are just awesome! Plus they both love cookies.
Thienna – I am never disappointed when I get the chance to interact with Thienna Thel this year. Truly a believable role-play experience, I’m delighted to see how she easily incorporates the voluminous amounts of obscure or forgotten aspects of Avlis lore with the never-ending delude of current events. Cheers.
Kice – Kice’s roleplay has always been something out of the ordinary, and this year is no exception. Her ability to draw other characters in and allow them to have meaningful dialog have always generated memorable roleplaying experiences.
Taruma – A master wordsmith, Taruma’s roleplay is clearly top-shelf. I’ve enjoyed interacting with her over the last year, and am always pleasantly surprised with the twists and turns in dialog and actions she throws my way.
MJ is like Shrek. Like an onion. With so many different layers. I like onions.
I have to vote for Tor, because he's Zvidureth's living statue and everyone's favorite "Ty-Ty-Tyudian Warrior"!
Ariana is an absolute delight to play with, she engages those around her and is always fun to hang out with.
Good old Gann needs a win, go Gann go!
Ronan redefined what a pale master was over the years. Intelligent, pragmatical power seeker, mysterious to the extreme! It really was a great experience to play with!
Tor is simply great to play with. He is friendly to most of my character, but i still need to be cereful cause you never know when you will say something he don't like and get a punch in the face. If you look in the dictionnary for the word impulsive, you get Tor.
A veritable cornucopia of gastronomic delights, all are guaranteed to tickle the palate and all deserving of praise.
How to choose?
I still wonder what motive Arcturius to be so kind, considering his ''profession''. This guy is a mystery and i just hope i did not sell my soul to the devil!
E's delightful character always makes me smile and beside, I love a good chicken dinner.
Taruma is a cleverly played PC whose conversations and actions help to promote interesting dialogue and thinking, enriching everyone's playing experience around her and giving new life to fireside chats.
Vastin easily has my vote, not because of glorious victories, but for the delightful way the Violet acts when he's in awkward situations or is put on the spot. The RP shines so well when he's uncomfortable and that's a difficult thing to do.
MJ's masterful portrayal is inspirational, at once cheerful, maniacal, deeply depressed, schizophrenic but always MJ.
If you look up "priest of Forian" in a dictionary, it's actually just a picture of Taruma. Which is confounding.
Vastin is Avlis' foremost owner of Girlfriend Rocks and all-around devious bastard of the year.
Honourable mention to mod, who played too many characters to actually get any of them on the ballot this year.
Be'letane is the bitch I want to be. Snarky, snide, sarcastic, ever witty and most importantly always up to something sneakily fantastic!
Ronan is a presence that is often overshadowed by more colorful, shouty characters, but his consistent portrayal is just amazing. I keep getting little glimpses of the way he views the world and it's... scary!
Tor is a solid rock of Avlis. Always ready to get his woad on (does anyone actually know what that means?) and do furious battle, against deadly foes, doors of any description and snarky back talking mages. You keep doing what you do.
E is a chicken dinner short of a picnic, but gods, I love her attitude and antics.
Paladin Choym is a thoughtfully played agent of goodness and justice. We've all encountered the sterotypical Paladin, heck we've probably even played one, but she treads a careful path of thought provoking righteousness. Whatever my PC did in front of her, I now feel guilty, even if that PC doesn't!

Vastin and Jacksen. Two fantastic mages of varying colours and methods. Both massive nerds and great roleplayers. Never change, unless it's to be even more fun!
Kassha is the master of the boom. And also turning people into animals. Beyond that, he's a grounded and fantastic character that I'm always happy to play second fiddle to in any situation. Outclassed by awesomeness!
Aneirin Menelaos: Look, it's hard to play a bard. To do it right, there is so much more that goes into it than most classes. Given the level of effort, you really have to love it to do it well. Aneirin is done very well. He is also a great character to roleplay with outside of his bardic activities certainly worthy great praise. Did I mention the hat?
Lili'ana Beletane: Oh you little bitch; how I adore you! If Verrossa could squeeze out an offspring, it would be reminiscent of The Lilly of the Aeromancy. Come give us a kiss. A kiss of death! May your lightning-harsh quips echo like thunder in my ears.
Ewnin is a follower of the storm bitch and that always makes folks nervous. But he's okay with me any day, always a treat to hunt with.
Tor is so consistent, always, all the time, sometimes face-palmingly so. Still, so consistent.
Ariana has become an essential anchor of the player base.
Let's be honest though, without a cracking team, none of this would be possible. So a big shout out to all the fantastic DMs and team members that put in the time to run this joint. Toot toot and huzzah!
