I've come to realise my vote belongs to Geris, because right from my start on Avlis, he was the go-to model for the epitome of a quality character. From his elaborate emotes to his interactions with others, he was the 'ideal', the yardstick by which to measure my own performance.

Zven Reaplenoose is impressive for a variety of reasons, the most noticeable being that he's a well-played gnome. Oddball races are always a challenge to play, and there are a number of traps to fall into. Zven manages to avoid all of them. His gnomish mannerisms fit to a tee, yet he is far from a walking stereotype. He has a vivid character beyond 'gnome', and contributes flavour to the world in spades.

Sammy - because he's awesome, magical, and he gives me wands. What's not to love?

Geris has been incredible this year.

Zachael - same comments as last time. Great character with a lot of depth.

Thienna was one of my choices this year because she consistently delivers the goods. Her RP is a joy to experience, and she always tries her best to weave others in whats going around her.

MJ was my pick. Shes a long time staple in Avlis, and I've enjoyed seeing her role play throughout the year. I look forward to more from this one.

Finn portrays an ability to be a great warmaster balanced with a guy staggering down the road with enough booze im convinced hes a dwarf on stilts. Awesome.

Got to cast a vote for Tris. Anybody whose got the sack to play a cleric of Maleki .. and do it well .. gets double points.

I rarely see most of these characters on lately, but the one I do, is Sammy. What a great played character. Always fun and I've had amazing times exploring and rp'ing with him.

Congratz to the winners! I only know Geris a bit, and (sadly) haven't had the fun of experiencing this MJ phenomenon enough to remember it like everyone else seems to, but we all need RP goals. Sammy?...

I remember getting up to the less than n00b ranges of levels with Smeec, while hanging out with other folks who had been here even longer than me (on 2003/2004 that is saying a lot). One day this guy in the ugliest green and red outfit shows up on one of my first trips to the lrc, and people start whispering about him (IC and OOC). I don't remember much about that trip (besides the outfit), except his role playing. Well deserved win then, and to this day, though I am very happy he found a tailor since then.
