Can the parry skill and expertise feat be combined to make your super-defensive?

Just take Expertise. Parry is still useless.

Not true, parry is quite useful up until about lvl 13 or so, THEN it is useless.

Fighters do it face to face, Rogues may do it from behind, Rangers can do it from a distance, Wizards do it from out of nowhere, Clerics may not do it at all, Barbarians may do it in a rage, Sorcerers can do it on a whim, Bards on a note, but Paladins have to pay for it!

I thought about making someone use parry and expertise, but I found out that you can't activate both things at once. It's either parrying OR expertise...

I'm not yet sure about expertise though. Especially on avlis where the AC is generally low it does sound real attractive to take. Then again, the attack bonus doesn't seem like it real high either...
