Gary Moore died. 58. Too young. He played guitar like an angel.

This isn't one of his, but nobody cares.

Shore Lined Poison is one of my absolute favourites. Love TDP.

However, my heart really lies with the two albums they put out in 1986-1987. They're as old as I am! Here's some choice cuts:

One Time One Place

Might I also recommend:

Skold
KMFDM (some of their stuff, look for Raymond Watts as a contributor)
Pig (Raymond Watts! ~ Sinsation, Wrecked are the least "artsy" and thus prob easiest to get into)
Gravity Kills (these guys were so, so awesome)
OhGr (Nivek Ogre's "new" band)
Nitzer Ebb (way oldschool, but if Ministry and 242 are on the list, well...)

Skinny Puppy though, by far the best of the best of the old-school industrial. Never heard of COIL, will have to check it/them out.

The bad news is that both members of Coil are now dead. The good news is that the back catalogue of music they left behind is genuinely awesome:

Thanks for the list!
Nitzer Ebb... Don't get me started with old EBM stuff ]:-)
OhGr's "Devils in my details" is a great album.
When it comes to the "old-school", be sure to check out Zoviet France (awesome soundscapes) and Cabaret Voltaire along with Coil.

I don't like Ogre's solo stuff as much as I liked Key/Duck's things. Doubting Thomas especially, but Download were also really good. Try The Eyes of Stanley Pain.

Anyway, something different.

Michael Franti & Spearhead - The Sound Of Sunshine

Sorta like the old Don't Worry, Be Happy song by Bobby McFerrin. Give life the finger (or 3) when it gets on your case.
"God not only plays dice, he throws them in the corner where you can't see them."
