Excellent News for Planewalkers

Post by spool32 » Tue Mar 09, 2010 1:49 am

After nearly a year of downtime, and after yeoman work from everyone, I can finally announce that the cross-world CoPaP portals are live again.

Rejoice! We're a linked multiverse at last.

Special thanks to:
  • Themicles
  • PlasmaJohn
  • PsiOmegaDelta
  • Zebranky
  • MadK@
  • The DM teams from Hala, Tairis, and Arkaz
Without assistance from all of you, it never would've gotten done!

Fantastic!

Thanks SO much to all that worked on it. From what I hear, it was a REALLY big and painful job.

Woot!!

I was about to ask for Bic transfer so I got Rye upto Ysguard as soon as I read the thread..

however.. and I don't know if it's a regular bug or just a one time fail in portaling..
Rye ended up not at the regular beast lands.. but halfway the endless staircase.. near the milky portal.. so I guess that's not good..

anyhow.. thanks for getting up up and running again!!!

Its a known bug to end up in an odd place on the staircase, but its not a common occurrence, and should be completely eliminated soon since the staircase is going away. I've made some major changes to the areas going to and from the portals (and there have been some changes all over Ysgard and Hala in the last year) all to make it easier for folks to find their way around.

BTW, questions about the Ysgard side of things should be directed to http://www.ysgard.org

The staircase is going away?? O.O

Anyway, I can't tell you guys how much we appreciate all the hard work, not just this time but just in general. I have never done anything like it--and you wouldn't want me to!--but I know it is a lot of work. This job in particular has been weighing on you guys for a very long time, and I'm glad for us and for you that it's finished!
