Weird NWN bug

So I tried to play tonight but for some reason everytime I use the shift or control key (to access quickslots), the game freezes up. Otherwise, my character moves around, casts spells, does combat fine. I can even use the standard quickslots. I found this problem to occur both in single player and online. Any thoughts on how to fix?
