Post by Brayon » Sun May 10, 2009 7:28 pm

The Darkside won this time around!
  • 1st place:
    Vesdrac Noss'tau

    2nd place:
    Dillon Wylde
    Fergus Goodmane
    Liam Dald

The prizes:
1st Prize: 500 experience points per character level
2nd Prize: 250 experience points per character level

Congratulations to everyone!

--------
Thralia and Ji...what can I say? They're awsome. Even if they are "just a potion-maker and a Warrior Maiden" they go above and beyond what is asked of them. Brilliant in everything.

I was going to vote for Finn but his wife wouldn't let me.

It's a shame I could only place two votes this month. So I'll mention a few who has been great this month. Thienna, please keep it up! The Kiff's, well done, I hope it brings your already dynamic charecters to life even more!
Ves, well played sir. Pathos, you have a great depth to Fergus, very enjoyable to watch you RP.

I have to vote for two together this time. Forget Lord Byron, he could not hold a candle to these two. Liam and Dillon are mad, bad, and dangerous to know. Together they are an onslaught of competitive banter and excellent, witty RP.

Finn continues to be amazing, you can just count on him for top notch RP.

Vesdrac, slithery evil at its very best. I'm still awed by the darkness he can wield.

Kaeleigh and Ashleigh the two Avariel sisters play young sibs to the nines, they are a blast!

Both very fine players and role players; have made me feel very welcome as well as supported me! (DM Note: Selash and Kishti)

Oh Katie Katie! Katie Kate Katiepoos! Yeah baby!

I'd like to donate my 2nd place choice to all those unsung heroes who use the quick-slotted *nods* as they run past your PC. This to me is the epitome of excellant roleplaying. The 15 seconds it takes to set up this macro matches the time it took me to vote! Well done one and all...
(DM Note: *nods*)

Eleanor because she is just a fresh and sharp played sneaky dame..

Hester... well because HESTER!! I mean.. jep she (still) has it all...

Aerie somehow makes a halfling psionic paladin with a huge sword very, very real.

Archibald is just too fun.

Its a shame that I don't get to play with Percival Von Starken more often.
The way he deals with internal conflict is intriguing.

After all these years, Vesdrac still keeps me on the edge of my seat.

The Old Skool Blue is back. A row of applause for Dandriston Siger.

Vesdrac- your one stop shop for all your bastardry needs.

Kassha- What do you say about Kassha? From fighting giant monsters made of rock with an umbrella to trying to annoy his way into paladin panties, to attempting not to get hanged by flauntign treason, he seems committed to doing things in the most difficult and interesting way possible.

Vesdrac is at the center of everything. Who will he betray next month? Who will he kill next month? I can't wait to find out!

Archibald tries so hard; its so very precious.

Thaylis Beign is an unsung hero. He's a consistently interesting and convincing character, played with great sensitivity and an eye for the enjoyment of those around him. Always a blast!

I'm now going to go register several secret alt accounts just so I can vote for Liam Dald again and again and again. If there's a character worth serial electoral fraud, it's Liam.

I voted for Damar twice, because he scares me. (DM Note: Only one vote counted, Damar doesn't scare me!)

Terra Swift is a brilliant, consistently played character that blows my socks off every time. Stoic and resolute, quiet and businesslike, yet with insecurities that become apparent when the chips are down. She speaks volumes with her silence. The coolest part is when she stands on the guard platform in her EDF gear and blends into the scenery, like so many fallen NPCs before.

It has been enjoyable watching Nawen's reactions to the darkening world around her, and seeing how deeply things can affect a character when we allow them to. And the journal has been fun to follow. My favorite emo elf gal.

Kaasha, the only functioning drunk I know that can still blow stuff just as good as he can sober.

So...four years, almost to the day, that this character was started and this cookie will put him at just over 40th level.

Avlis, you rock, thank you all for making this such a fun place to play!

Congratulations to the other three, you all certainly deserve recognition.

Now THAT'S how you win Avlis!!

'Grats all, very well deserved on all counts!

And thanks so much for voting for Fergus, but to be completely honest, I'd be content if y'all voted for someone new. This marks the fourth (!!!) time that he's gotten RPotM mention, and going back through the history of RPotM, there's just too many repeat winners. I think that there are a LOT of characters out there that have never so much as sniffed the RPotM that deserve it at least as much, if not more, than my old buckethead (as much as I enjoy/need the XP). I'd encourage everyone to consider someone that hasn't ever been properly recognized for their awesome portrayal of a deep and complete character next time around. I can name off the top of my head at least 20 characters I've interacted with in the last month that deserve but have never received the recognition; unfortunately I could only vote for 2 (and neither won).

So, yeah. I know I'm awesome. But so many other people are awesome too. Let them know it?
