March RPotM Results

Post by Brayon » Tue Apr 14, 2009 12:42 am

Whooo!! A slugfest for 2nd place with a 4 way tie! For the second month in a row!
  • 1st place:
    Ashanar Sekor
    Fergus Goodmane

    2nd place:
    Dillon Wylde
    Fletcher Millstone
    Rune Amanta
    Varion Raykeeshen

The prizes:
1st Prize: 500 experience points per character level
2nd Prize: 250 experience points per character level

Congratulations to everyone!

--------
Varion (aka "Pops") and Leo get my vote this month. Both are a lot of fun to play with.

Liam is just an absolute blast to play with. Truly one of the best played characters in Avlis.

Freddy always squirms soo well when you flirt with him, it's fun! Rye is always a fun guy to RP with...a lovable rogue

Ash just has amazing depth and is a joy to play with. Varion totally brings his character to life.

Rune Amanta has made an amazing splash this past month. He rocks! Ash is my favorite bard in all the lands!

Vintrinia's stirred up an anthill, as Max put it, and deserves full credit for reshuffling the avlis loyalty deck, and breaking lawful good hearts. Kassha's hilarious as a crazy goofball type, but it's his quiet moments of earnest that really make him stand out for me as a character.

Terra is, as always, beautifully RPed, PsiOmega plays her with a master's touch, treading that fine line between a character with problems and issues that add depth and value to their choices and enrich the roleplaying experience of those around them, and the self-pitying emo-tastic world of my RP. Every encounter is a delight, even if Terra doesn't say a word, she brightens your RP with her stoic silence.

Sher'cha is my second, but no means less, choice this month.. She is nice, so nice it makes you cringe sometimes, even her mournful sighs bring a smile to her face as she plays the bard every moment you're with her, her choices, while not always in keeping with my view of how a Warrior Maiden "should" be, always leave a huge scope for RP, enriching and improving all the RP that occurs around her, even the concerned chewing of her lip portrays the caring, beautiful and loyal Half-Elf/Half-Nymph that is Sher'cha.

The Rel'cing sisters are like the Voltron of RP. On their own, they're cheery and fun, but not wholly remarkable. But when they combine, they become an ultra-destructive, giant mega-robot capable of leveling cities with mirth and sweetness. I was astonished at how brilliantly these two played off each other when together. Teasing, nudging, and reacting in unison, as if they had spent their whole life together. It was amazing, and refreshing, to see such sharp, improvisatory RP that so accurately captured such a seemingly simple concept as sisterhood.

Fletcher and Ace have kept me laughing all month long! A delight to interact with!

By request a few more comments:

There is always something going on when around Ash. He makes things happen.

Rali immerses you in the moment with the use of her emotes.

Quiet and unassuming, yet Thaylis Beign delivers solid RP every time as a realistic character, not blinged up with gimmicks.

Fergus: cookie crunching, evil crumping, super-duper old dude.

Seylek wins. Yes, really.

Kate Benneset is a marvellously fleshed-out character - a real person but also a real woman. For a long time I, being female, was tricked into believing that Kate's player was female, too!

I like Garth because he is a sturn yet just dwarf that makes me want to play Rye to the full reacting to all of Garth's emotions..

Nayala because I can picture a happy lively halfling lass who is a bit of a spinster.. nicely played..

Coming from one who teaches narratology for a living: Miriel´s character performance has such quality and permanence that many professionals would envy her skill.

Easily one of the best months I have ever had RPing in the last 5 years or so. Votes go to 2 very special ladies that have made it so wonderful. You both know who you are. (Ays and Rali)

Fergus is, and always has been, amazing to play with. As he comes into new aspects of himself it's a joy to be a part of.

Vesdrac scares the hell out of me. He's the kind of guy you threaten your kids with if they don't behave. "Better be good, Timmy, or Vesdrac will GET you!"

Dillon and Liam are two of a kind...or maybe they're each one of their own? What I'm trying to say is that they bring awesome RP in any case.

Moira C. Windspar - Dedicated Dame in her beliefs to Mikon.

Hyacinth Pike - I've enjoyed watching her fight her own inner demons. Well played and fun to be around.
