Avlis policy on: Inventory Size

Post by Wombatforhire » Wed Oct 03, 2007 10:03 pm

Ok folks, it looks like it's time for an official policy line on this one.
The team would like to request every player to keep their total inventory size around 500 items or less. If you go over occasionally, and temporarily, say during a crafting spree, that's all right. Seriously, we mean it.

However, while consistently towing around thousands of items may be easy for your character due to the magic of bags of holding, it is NOT easy for our servers.
Please be mindful of others. Carrying all those items not only crashes and lags servers, but it also puts YOUR character file at greater risk for corruption.

You know who you are.

The World of Avlis is filled to the brim with thousands of recepticals for your stuff, please make use of them.
Say hello to my little friend....

Another reminder guys and gals.

Each time you save your character (using the radial menu or using 0-4-8-6 on the numeric keypad), it tells you how many items are in your Inventory.

If this is getting anywhere near 500 then you need to get a room in a Tavern, join a Guild or sell something. You are carrying around far too much junk.

This causes huge amounts of lag on the servers each time you transition and may even crash the servers. Consequently, we are not very happy when we find out you are the reason.

You wouldn't want unhappy DMs would you?
Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.
