Rings and things have been pilfered right off the person before. Of course it depends on the scenario. If a rogue snatches off a (non +3 ring lawful abider of gentlemans agreement) from someone at a party or during any kind of chaos from which the wearer is distratced then by all means the rogue should be able to keep his loot. Now if he snatches it off someone standing around by themselves picking at their fingernails then by all means it should be returned ooc'ly. Am I right or am I right?Alphonse wrote:I'm hoping people wont think that the 'pickpocket gentlemans agreement' can be cast aside now.
I'm sure very few people could cope with a +3 or better ring being stolen from them.
I'm also assuming it doesnt include the items currently being worn in the pickpocketable items?

About the lycanthropy bit, are you saying that eventually, regardless of our current race we can end up becoming a werewolf?
Will becoming a werewolf be a purely RP thing? Or will failing our saves against the disease edit our bic files and change our stats and feats and appearence to reflect our characters transformation?

Well from what I have seen some pick pockets ARE good enough to steal your watch form you while you are wearing it.. As much as i would hate to loose a ring like that in Avlis, it sould be possible, just REALLY hard.Alphonse wrote:I'm hoping people wont think that the 'pickpocket gentlemans agreement' can be cast aside now.

You'll find out when I am done, it has been tested and the team is happy with what I have done.
Oh, and the testing is going to take quite some time...
Mind you now that I'm without an internet connection at home I'll spend more time on writing this code than playing...

Re: Changes
*casts animate thread*
Just wondering, is this pickpocket code active these days? I just lost a guild uniform to a PP today (a large, plot item). The person involved gave it right back OOC, so no problems there, but I had always thought it wasn't even supposed to be possible.

Re: Changes
the code back then didn't work as I recall regarding items that were larger than 2x2. But plot items were ALWAYS unpickpocketable, since the bio days. If that has changed, I don't know what's going on. If someone tried to pp it back then, it would just give a "lost item/aquired item" message

Re: Changes
I'm pretty sure I was once told by a DM that the code which marks items as being non-pickable only fires when you save character/location.

I can see the big red stamp coming but I'll ask the question anyway. Is it going to be possible your animal companion will be turned into a were-companion?

Banana's, they are the force for my colon. They surround and bind everything so even Darth Vader can take a proper dump.
