Another little question that I thought I'd see if any team members wanted to respond to..
I know that avariel are mechanically treated the same as avlissian elves, but since the avariel were not created by Dru'El (or at least that is what I was led to believe) and lived apart from the avlissian elves for the most part, do avariel have the same tendency towards chaos that the avlissian elves do or are they more neutral vs. law and chaos?

If I were to guess I'd say they have more chaotic tendancies in line with Cha'reth.

i think this purely depends on what you want to do with your avariel. with them being refugees...it's safe to assume that some would have settled in different places.
...and not all avariel worship cha'reth, either.
whatever you decide to do, just make sure you can back it up with your backstory and IG play

Sure, not all Avariel worship Cha'reth. This Avariel doesn't. I was generalizing as most Avariels would worship Cha'reth.

After many searches I was not able to find anything to give indication of who created the avariel or for what purpose. (Edit: My search was more of a focus as to why they were created, what roll they would fill.) So when planning my avariel I chose as part of her background that she was taught to be extremely polytheistic. I've been a bit surprised that there aren't more polytheists on Avlis in general, or at least they are not as open about it, as I've never heard another PC say as much.
It has been very interesting to play out the avariel/drangonari conflict, what little there has been. I've found that the PC drangonari my avariel has met are quick to try to show they are hold no hatred for avariel, while DM controlled drangonari are nicely contemptuous.

My drangonari was one of the first to not show any aggression to any avariels . His childhood gave him many more things to want to hate and take his frustrations of various things out on. I will admit however there is a single avariel that has died purposely by my hand but it was blamed on someone else.

I let my Drangonari shape by the interaction with his kin and the Avariel. We'll see what happens, right now he's sort of peaceful.....

Hey, I was curious about the immunity:Sleep thing with Drangonari. I mean they're kind of Elves, but don't have that feat, which makes me thing that they do Sleep from time to time. Or do they just Trance/meditate like the other pointy ears?

Re: Drangonari and Avariel
I'll go to ask the team with this if I can't work this out here, but I know there are a lot of oldtimers who maybe know or can help with questions that have come up in my RP re: Drangonari wings and timing. . .
1. How old would a Drangonari have to be to have been born with wings?
2. Is it possible that some still are born with wings, as distant bloodline to those who still have them?
I'm NOT trying to get my pc to be given wings.
The reasons I ask:
I've always played Rali'vinee as young-ish years old and having being born with wings, with the following possibilities:
a. (My choice) They were none-too-gently sawed off of her after being captured by Shaahesk as a very young child, leaving scars on her shoulderblades (this being the trauma that caused her to blank out much of what she doesn't remember, and chooses not to remember).
or
b. She was born right before their wings were taken, and left with scars.
She doesn't remember the wings, but has always had the scars. In working on moving what she and another Drangonari PC know about themselves forward, I don't want to create a story that is inconsistent with cannon, yet is interesting and unique.
Thanks if anybody can answer me.
FYI, ways I've commonly shown the scars over the last year and a half + that I've played her:

Re: Drangonari and Avariel
Speaking as a non-team member, the biggest problem I see with this story is that you've already started talking about it, yet afaik the scars that you have been showing are from a certain CEP armor top. So in order to show those scars, you have to be wearing that specific top and no other. Whenever I see anyone with the CEP thigh and chest tattoos, I treat them as if they are something like henna dyed than true tattoos or scars.
My suggestion is to send this question to the team, because if Rali is supposed to be as young as you claim and had wings (hacked off), then somehow an overall decision must be made for characters who have been playing older drangonari yet never had wings at all, scars or otherwise.
Those are the concerns I see as a non-team member.
Now, as for the history of it all? This is posted in the Wiki giving a timeline for the destruction of Toostan. http://wiki.avlis.org/Avlis_Campaign_0
Note the introduction:
Whooo, this is what historians call fun.

From that, I would infer that your pc would have to be at least 300 years old as a lowball. Remember, the M'Chek-T'Nanshi war was a series of raids and counterraids before a true "war" was declared, so it would hinge on whether the introduction written above was speaking of the official war, or including the raids and skirmishes.Around that time, the M'Chek-T'Nanshi War was pretty new. The humans and Titanians had not made any deals yet, and folks were pretty sketchy about who's side they were taking. Also gotta realize that some famous feuds like the Angadar-Valok one had not started yet. Avariel elves are in full swing and Toostan is in perfect condition.
Whooo, this is what historians call fun.

Re: Drangonari and Avariel
Thanks Moira.
As far as the scars, ICly she doesn't know what they're from for sure. It's assumed from wings but where she was taken young could have been something else, torturous of course since SOMETHING happened that she chooses to block.
Anyway, BEFORE I have her discover anything, I wanted to see what I can get away with.
As far as using the torsos and tattoos and then having another outfit that wouldn't use them, people emote having scars all the time that are not seen. I just use them for effect when I want a visual and it becomes part of the IC rp.

Re: Drangonari and Avariel
Yeah, I was thinking about that too after I posted. That can sit on the backburner though as the more important question would be how exactly drangonari lost their wings. Here is the quote from the wiki:Rali'vinee wrote:As far as using the torsos and tattoos and then having another outfit that wouldn't use them, people emote having scars all the time that are not seen.
Now this would lead to the assumption that the wings fell off or shriveled. There was a discussion on the boards somewhere about how this happened when it was pointed out that the NPC Drangonari fighters that came to Elysia during the Fairy War all had wings. So there are more clues to search for in that aspect, but I'm too tired to look for it at the moment.Through some means unknown to this day, all but the oldest and most noble drangonari lost their wings.

Re: Drangonari and Avariel
From what I understood, the battle the Drangonari lost their wings in was something like 300 and some odd years ago, possibly more from IG time now. Thats what I seem to remember. I played Amand, who was supposed to be older (40 year old equivalent), as never having wings, and being born just after the battle (this could be looked at in many ways, as there was no established life span for Drangonari, not sure if there is now even). The only Drangonari to have wings after the fall of the Avariel were the highest noble, and most faithful of Angadar. Very few retained wings and even fewer are still born with them. Thats from memory, feel free to correct me!

Re: Drangonari and Avariel
But Darth, I remember Amand as having phantom feelings of the wings, twitching or aching or something? Or did I dream that? *grin* j/k! Maybe I misunderstood, but it WAS some rp very early in Rali's existance that we did that spawned my whole idea in the first place.
