silver spike

Post by DeadEyeDave » Sat Aug 25, 2007 7:46 am

i just aquired an item called a silver spike, base item assasin dagger...when i examine it, under special properties, it says something like

on hit: unique power (OnHit) level 1

what the hell does that mean? when i hit some one with it they revert to level 1? that would be sweet! but i'm guessing that's not what it means.
Bad poetry?
Oh noetry!

It has a unique power, on hit. The power is level 1. Your item is a silver spike... the action of it is FOIG, but think about what useful things silver can do.

I'm betting it's part of a large DM plot to build a transcontinental Avlissan railroad. :P

On a more serious note, are items that have what I assume is a custom On Hit property also FOIG on their percentage chance to strike, or would those chances to trigger the effects be listed? For the Spike for example, if it's On Hit: wtfpwnage level 1, does that mean it'll hit 100% of the time, or is there a percent chance there that the customization just doesn't allow us to see?

The description of the spike gives a pretty good hint at what the script should do.

That said, the script doesn't work exactly as intended, so use at your own risk. Caveat Emptor, buyer beware, yada yada, sign on the dotted line please.

All depends on the custom scripts.

For me it worked on some minor things, but not on the things that it would have been more useful to me for it to work on.
