The stupid monsters of DnD

Post by Sarmanos » Sun Aug 24, 2008 8:37 pm

Part 1:http://www.headinjurytheater.com/article73.htm

Part 2: http://www.headinjurytheater.com/article95.htm
"Hello adventurer. You walk into the room. That's when the floor starts to fight with the ceiling about who gets to eat you. While they fight you sneak along the wall, hoping to escape...only to find out the wall's already starting to digest you the moment you touch it. Adventurer, I hope you've enjoyed your stay in the Room of Death. Remember to fill out your comment card."
I got a kick out of this. My two favorites? The Paper Golem and Spider-Horse.
Vetinari: I have noted before that you have a definite anti-authoritarian streak, Commander.
Vimes: Sir?
Vetinari: You seem to have retained this even though you are Authority.
Vimes: Sir?
Vetinari: That's practically Zen.

When I read the comments, I thought this ((http://www.toddlockwood.com/galleries/d ... olem.shtml )) was the type of paper golem they were talking about and I couldn't understand why he thought it was stupid, till I read the description he meant. Though oragami may give me papercuts, this painting gives me nightmares.
“People speak of hope as if it is this delicate, ephemeral thing made of whispers and spider's webs. It's not. Hope has dirt on her face, blood on her knuckles, the grit of cobblestones in her hair, and just spat out a tooth as she rises for another go.”
