How will character death be handled?
Also, is there a way to adjust the saving of characters? Like have it not be able to save until when you log out or something of that nature?

Death will be handled much like pnp 3rd Edition D&D.
We will create one area representing a piece of each the outer planes. When you die, you go to the plane that suits your alignment best. On that plane, you may have stuff to do, and you may not. But you won't be able to leave that plane until someone casts raise dead or resurrection on you.
So you better play well and not die! Cuz while yes, there will be NPC"s around that can rez you, they won't be everywhere.
So if you're only 1st level and you think you may not be able to take that goblin by yourself, don't do it!
By the same token, there will be plenty of other ways to earn exp without fighting.
