New Hak required for Visimontium

Post by GreyLynx » Sat Nov 26, 2005 6:23 pm

Beginning Wednesday (Nov 30) there will be a new hak required for Visimontium.

CTP's Generic Doors will add a bit more texture to our world. :)

File size is 7.1 Meg, so apologies to those on dialup.

I believe other Avlis servers will also use this hak in the future, so it get now and be prepared!

Suggest downloading the ZIP since the RAR seems to have a bitcheck issue.

I know it's just doors but dang, some of those are really pretty!
It's chaos, be kind.

EDIT: Technical difficulties mean you won't be able to download this file from the Avlis download site just yet.

Can the hak be used for player houses, etc submitted on other servers besides Visimonium? Or does that presume too much that all players will have the hak installed to see the new doors?

Not at this stage, because not all the servers themselves have the new hak. It may get added to the others at some point, but you'll only be able to use this hak for housing purposes on servers that use it.

I got the following error message when I tried to extract the hak file to my hak folder using winrar:

! C:\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\89ABCDEF\CTP_Generic_Doors[1].rar: Invalid or corrupt authenticity information

When can we have an update on the downloads page? I mean, now you need to go out to other sites for over half of the required haks, which is really tiring and just annoying....

The download site is working properly again, so if you haven't got the hak yet, you can now download it from here.
