I've been beating my head against the toolset for a while now trying to figure out how to place a secret trapdoor and the associated trigger. I'd also like to know if a secret wall door works any differently.
Anyone out there able to step me through it? Please !

Look at the script header for the placeable and yes they work the same, just use the appropriate trigger.
Place the trigger, make a WP tag it LOC_XXXX where you want the placeable to appear(where XXXX is the tag of the unique trigger), make another WP tag it DST_XXXX where you want the PC to end up(XXXX being the same as above). That's it.
Don't put the placeable in, the trigger script will call it. Choose a reset or whatever trigger for it to reappear more than once per server reset. I may be a bit off on some of this, I'm doing it from memory.

oh and if it's a wall door type your LOC_blah WP ~must~ face the wall, the pointy end. Otherwise your door will appear backwards, don't ask me why.

Here's a tip: To have the secret door placed exactly as you'd like (it's hard to muck with trying to move a waypoint until it's just right) take a secret door placeable, put it exactly where you want it. Copy down the X,Y,Z,and Degree coordinates. Delete the door placeable. When you place you LOC waypoint, give it the SAME X,Y,Z, Degree coordinates you copied down. When spawned, the door will be in the correct place.

And please, please, please make the search trigger pretty big, even if you feel you need to increase the DC to compensate. Searching for secret doors should involve Malin searching for doors, not me searching for a tiny spot on the ground.
