I have been talked to about joining guild but the stuff you need to get in is an outrage. There is to much wood and ores it takes a ton of weight. A friend of mine is gathering all the stuff, he has a room with a chest but he still needs more. And the chest is full so if anyone is in the AAAA plz give feedback on how to gather without worry.

I agree that it is a HUGE amount of raw materials. But, it does make sense. They need materials to be able to craft, and that is their business. Plus, gathering all of those components shows a level of commitment to the guild right from the start, and would deter those of less devotion.

My PC would love to join, but is hindered by the fact that she can only carry 86 lbs and can't use a wood axe or mining tools.

So I feel you. Maybe some time in the future...

You don't have to give them everything all at once - you can turn them into Robert (or whomever is your friendly 4A Sales Rep) with a special contract bit by bit. That way you don't have to store everything in your Inn room.

yeah its a ton. apparently it used to be worse/more stuff to collect.

i think basically the guys mean it to be "if you're serious then you'll do it" and if you're not then you wont. Its all about the cred.

you can ask yourself if its worth it ... it took me over 2 months to collect all the ingredients and i had some help from some friendly very generous people.

WRT your specific question of storing it, you should hunt down an aaaa member and get them to make a custom contract for you. That way you can deposit the stuff with the aaaa npc and the system will keep track of how much you have.

That is a good idea now i will just have to find a high ranked member to discuss it.I will do that first it may work but I do not have my own room. I pray that i will in a month or so well thank you for the advice guys

Custom contracts are not a valid way of doing your quotas. You need to turn them into your mentor, and he will make note of the the amounts you are turning in each time.

you have to turn them to any member of the association that can act as a witness of your work and update the quotas book.

it took me about 2 months two to fullfill it. And this is not the toughest part, wait until you want to gain the Journeyman title.

It's even worste, if you are not commited to the guild and if you want it to go fast, maybe you should reconsider you toughts about joining.

I would be glad to meet you to take your things and deposit them in our warehouse, if you are needing to get rid of some things. I am usually around the 4A in the Wilderness. Just leave me a note. ((PM me some times, or Tell me a note if online))

yes i have been thinging alot about joining the AAAA. Well there are two choices i would like they are AJA or AAAA. If any of you have details on these two associations. I would love to hear it. Im looking for disadvantages and advantages of both. So reply if you have some info.

If joining the AAAA is too much effort for you then please feel free to look elsewhere for an organisation that is more to your liking. We have had many start the application process and never finish, we hold no grudges against any of them. The hard work involved with being a member of the AAAA is not for everyone.

If however you do further the process and join, do not expect your life to get easier. The AAAA is a business, it does not exist to pander to its members needs, nor does it exist to make a members life easy at the expense of other members. In saying this though, I am yet to meet a single member who regrets joining.

Your actions while handing over your members belt after you left seemed to indicate that you did value your time as a member, despite what you say now. I also know you would not be where you are today without your time in the association.

I am however concerned that someone i once counted as a friend has chosen to address me in such an impersonal manner. You seem to have changed significantly since we last met. I only hope you are enjoying this new phase of your life and it is as benificial for you as your time in the association.

AAAA sets a high bar to get in as it is the best way to know the person sitting at the keyboard behind the player, as well as know the character themselves.

It is a tried and tested method that has shown it works ... most of the time.

As I've said to many people IC, I does take a long time and is hard because it is meant to be. Theres no time limit on gathering the materials and if you get to know some people in the organisation IC with similar online hours, they will likely help you out. Thats another point of the difficult joining procedure. You need to get to know other members and be part of the organisation, not just an individual who uses the facilities.

If you want to put the effort in then its worthwhile. If you don't then that's your choice. It's not for everybody.

I agree that it is definitely a hard job, collecting everything. Sometimes a very boring job also, but I feel that the work pays off in the end. Not only have I learned many things since my short time in the 4A, but I have also made many friends. Some that are very dear to me.

I will have to say that I do not care if I don't EVER see another pixie or Grig again though.

I was merely trying to in a polite way to say that I disagree with you statement about anyone who regrets joining.

It was not meant to offend.

I not only turned in me Members Belt but my Quartermasters Ring.

But let me clairify my stand,,I have no issues with the AAAA or its members. My point of issue was with the leader of said organization. I was unable to tolarate the issue,,, so I did the only thing that I could do.. I left.

I have on more than one occasion given a hearty recommendation to someone, to seek out the AAAA to learn the shaping of metals.

I still count you as a friend Darent. But if I had not known what I know now,,,would I be where I am now.

I will not go into any more details here. If you have a relish for such details,,,seek me out in Nutz in Deglos in the gem mines there or in Ferrell in the Glassworks.

I've had multiple contracts issued by multiple 4A members and not caught a whiff of this.

Can someone pls confirm my work is not for naught?

The custom contracts were handed out mostly by my character. At the time my character did this, she specifically stated that you needed to either send her a note, or talk to her directly to notify her of how the work was going.

In your case, I told you to make sure to contact Shaaesk, as he was your mentor. If you have kept him up-to-date on your work, then no, it wouldn't be for naught.

Best think is to meet a member IC and discuss it. If you can't find anyone easily, do a search on the IC boards which will give you an excuse to send an IC letter as a PM to someone.
