Vid Glitch or something else?

Post by Velvet Embrace » Wed Sep 22, 2004 6:58 pm

Got two annoying problems.

1) Long running problem that I blamed on bioware; I can never see the bottom three option titles in any radial menu. They appear blank to me, though they work fine.

2) In Avlis only; I have various objects seen in only white with no detail. The wemic's bodies, the 'special' fordge in Mikonia, several trees in various forests I've been to(not any of the standard trees from bioware). This problem has been observed on all servers with random objects (though the same objects are always affected).

Any help or hints with either problem will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Please keep in mind, my computer skills are limited. A bit better than point and click, but not much.

Sounds like a video card issue. Specifically, it sounds like you have a video card that is not capable of rendering DDS textures. DDS textures are used by the game, but if your card can't render them Bioware included low res tga versions. CEP never included these tga's with their pack to save on space. I believe the neverwinter vault has a download that has the CEP textures in tga format.
Thought thinks itself.

Or just get a new video card. :P
