Bit of Rp advice

Post by Zip Nolan » Wed Jul 14, 2004 11:10 am

last night I noticed there was another character on line with the same surname as my character.

I know this happens in RL all the time but I've not seen it in the game before how should I RP this, should I presume they are a relation or should I put it down to coincidence?

thanks

Same as in RL, I suppose. If you meet, you could comment on the coincidence and see if you might be related.
Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.

I would suggest not roleplaying the relation until you discuss it with the other player. Of course if you want to bullshit and say that you are related to this other character anyway then I'd say that's just as cool as the "you're related to Lord Walsington" thread from the other day.

Also, you should expect to be asked if you are related to the other character. Roll with it from there.

Sounds like a good candidate for Burnham's Events: Long Lost Relatives Addition.
