Avlis/CoPaP Mailing List Transfered to Yahoo Groups

Post by Orleron » Sat Apr 03, 2004 2:03 am

The email list we have been using to keep you all updated is getting way too big. I would also like the
other CoPaP leaders to be able to send you messages personally, and in
order to do that, I'd have to give our your emails to all of them. That's
not a cool thing to do, and I won't be part of something like that. So in
order to do this correctly, I am removing ALL of you from the mailing list
and transfering it over to a Yahoo Group.

***In order to keep receiving emails about Avlis and CoPaP updates, you
must check your email right now and find the message that contains info on how to subscribe to the mailing list***

Keep in mind that if you subscribe to this list, you will not only get
messages from me in the future, but also from the leaders of the other
CoPaP worlds.

Thanks again, and if there are any questions, please ask. You have all
been removed from the list as of NOW. Hope to see you on the new list.
The new list will be automated and you can remove yourself whenever you
want.

Should we send an e-mail with our data saying "I want to subscribe" or how we do it?

Also remember that this group will become a closed group, by invitation only, in a few days. So get in there during the open enrollment period to make it easy on yourselves.

I haven't been getting email updates lately. My old email address is no more and I never tried to get anyone to update their records. Can you PM me instruction of joining the Yahoo! group?

Yeah, never joined a Yahoo Group before. Do you send an e-mail to subscribe@blah blah, or what?

A blank email to the subscribe address will do it, yes.

I don't use the email address anymore which was on the list (I think as I did not receive mails lately). Can you send me the mail in a PM Orleron?

It seems that my ISP is probably blocking the Avlis e-mails these days. My own blockers should let them through, but there's no sign of them. So I need some way to get the address too.

I got the email and tried to send out the Subscribe email, but it seems to be stuck in my outbox. I send other emails, and there is no problem.

Anyone else having this issue?

How do you know you are officially Subscribed?

Good question. Do we get a confirmation e-mail?

After I sent the email the 3rd of April, I received a mail from Yahoo-groups, and had to press a link that confirmed my request.
A few minutes after that I received a "Welcome to CoPap"-email signed by Orleron.

Never mind my post above. I didn't even bother to look at the email address I was trying to send it to. All set.

Just a thought - is it the Group or the Mailing List we should join?

I selected the Mailing List, but I suspect that may be wrong. :?
