Running NWN without Intro

Some time ago, someone told me a way to disable those annoying splashscreens when starting NWN. It was a switch added to the shortcut for NWMAIN.EXE.

I used it and it worked.

Since then my PC crashed and I had to reinstall XP. I cannot remember how to disable these damned splashscreens.

Can anyone tell me how to do this please?

Well, if you just want to connect through multiplayer to Avlis, you can modify your shortcut target and add on a +connect and +password suffex to the string. You would need to do one for each server though since it will connect you straight to the server that you specify in the target. There was a great thread that brannor started a while ago that shows how to do some of this.

Open nwn.ini

under [Display Options]

************which will have something like the following listed******
Width=800
Height=600
BitsPerPixels=32
RefreshRate=60
TexturePack=1
SafeMovie=0
FullScreen=1
****************
Add

Disable Movies=1

I found the answer.

Edit your NWN.INI

Find the [Display Options] section

Add the line Disable Movies=1 if it is not already there.

Result - no splashscreens when you start NWN.
