August RPotM 2010 RESULTS!

Post by Belasco » Fri Sep 10, 2010 7:27 am

Taking 1st Place the Gnomish Way!
Glenda Blecherofferschnach :laola:

2nd Place Goes to The Gnoll With Anger Management Issues!
Gurkz :feuer:

Comments:

Gurkz is awesome. Always in character, he's a simple guy, but does it well.

Around Rhissaerk and Sam there's never a dull moment, both are fantastic roleplayers and their characters very life-like.

Glenda..... wow, haven't been around her much, but amazing rp, she just comes out with some of the best lines, it's hard to keep up that kind of rp.

Jack Kenthel keeps his crew on their toes while he steps on everybody else fearlessly!

Sher has once again, astounded me with her depth and multi-faceted personality, on the surface she's the hair-brained Bard but hidden just under the surface is a deeply commited, overly caring character, who just wants to see everyone do well, my character has had a hell of a time over the years trying to convince her that the bad guys don't just need a hug, they need a swift kick in the pants too.

Kassha is... well, Kassha! and if you don't know what i mean you're missing out!

Svip and Harlow definately need to get out more... I've always had quality RP from both players who are a delight to interact with.

Bavou B. Faost and Bel'edine : Both characters have their own quirks which are consistently well played

Keekee, or Clickie, remains to be an absolute blast to spend time with. She's been a total hoot since I first encountered her till now!

Frulamin is entertaining and engaging as a bard. We need more bards, doing bardic things. Write new songs, stories, poems.

Gurky is...Gurky. Really, do you need to say more?

Playing a new lizard character is not an easy task. But the guild they have is very active and has a great leader (OOC because the IC dynamics of having a Kobold lead a Shaahesk mercenary band is best not discussed in-character) in Clickie the face-eating kobold.

Thorfinn is an amazingly well played character with a wonderfully thoughtful player pulling the strings

I've been impressed with Amandraxus ability to combine being a cleric with a support/healing role during adventures with staying close to the philosophy of Aarilax (which is more likely to let your fellow party members die and take their good gear before ressurecting them). It's been a blast playing with them both.

I love when Eleanor's on. She has such depth and she's so much fun. She can be silly to somber, lighthearted to philosophical, often during the same session.

Triia is so very controlled but she has a lot of patience and her quiet observation is interrupted only by very insightful statements. The more I RP with her the more I appreciate her.

Run around in little circles chasing dragons with a net!

Vesdrac Noss'tau has a family? WTF? After that bombshell you'd expect your outlook on the "scary Ebony mage" to be changed, but no.... it just makes him scarier!

Arania was always one of those characters that, I am ashamed to say, I skimmed over and didn't really pay alot of attention to... and I am happy to say that i regret that, having played a litle with her over the last month, I have to say she is a hell of a good character, and a great laugh to be around. Teamed up with Fergus they're comic genius!!

If Glenda or Frulamin are around, you can be sure it will be a fun playtime!

Latanya is a riot. The character is delightful blend of earthy concerns and fey whimsy. Everytime she logs on I get excited to see what she is up to, whether that means bartend or yelling at lizards during the trade fair.

Ulu - At first my character hated her arrival and my impending doom. Now when things hit the fan my street urchin is praying that she is secretly some where close lurking in the shadows.

Gurky - His excitable nature and crazy speech really embodies how I would envision a gnome. He's a blast to RP with.

Deostori can stop a character on a dime, and change their entire direction/outlook. Quiet, unassuming, and sincere... she's one of Avlis' rare treasures.

Faith. Not a flashy character, but one with incredible depth and authenticity. Stellar rp every single time.

Evelynn. So much hidden under that hood!

Zander and Eowien are two unique blends of AWESOME

Honorable mention of the month: Gurkz. If you need to ask why, you need to be cleaved

Liam Dald is the quintessential warrior. He brings life to avlis with his deep yet subtle personality. His existential struggle is the stuff of legends, and I'm eager to see how his epic unfolds over the coming months.

Again, I picked my main Shosin, because even though I have moments where I just completely suck at RPing, its just fun to see the consequences and troubles Shosin gets herself into and always seems to be able to get them out. She has came a long way to be where she is at now.

Liam Dald is hot avlis action.

Long to reign over us:
God save the Matriarch!
I hope Kish'ti will be around as our nation's Matriarch till 84 years old and ever beyond. Forever Kish'ti!

Frulamin is one of the best prepared newer people since ages. His player obviously took time to learn the lore of our game and it pays of. Frulamin knows what he's talking about and makes a very pleasant conversation partner.

Glenda: She is like the offspring of Carrie and the Terminator. Recipe for awesome.

La'Varian is my choice for this month based on his gentle portrayal of grief with the "death" of Kaz'shardra.

Ferria "the cushions are mine" Mouze is THE cornerstone in Friedas life.

Lanar is quite the tireless and tiresome follower of O'Ma and you gotta respect that!

Andrew follows Xenon no matter the consequences and is one of the few players who actually plays evil. He'll kill ya if you start talking down to Xenon. Glad to see another player who can be DPed and enjoy the RP involved in it all.

Shosin brings an interesting angle on Drotid/Shaahesk and Green relations makes for interesting RP.

Nawen is just one bad ass PC.

Gurkz cleaves high and leaves some space below for others.

Delurion comes in second as the understated hero who doesn't chew the scenery attention-addict RP, but without whom the world would fall apart. (Certainly a number of guilds would.)

Belina: She seems to be a character with a lot of depth, the longer you spend with her the more there is to find out. Very well designed persona IMO!

How can anyone say no to Deo? That'd just be mean!

I don't think I've seen a better played psion than Glenda Blecherofferschnach. Gurky has really made an unique and exciting character here, and it's been a genuine pleasure to play with Glenda this past month (and before!). A++

If you're looking for a stellar Valokian, look no further than Ishra Qiyun. Truth be told, I could have voted for any of this guys characters as they're all amazing, but Ishra is Glorious as well, which gives him the edge~

Evelynn continues to be the attentive scholar who makes it fun to adventure, explore and debate.

Clicky is a living character. Through her expressions, behaviour and amazing visual journal, you really appreciate what it must be like to be her.

Anders and Five : Giving it to the twins this month. Really enjoyed my RP sessions with them. Great stuff.

Jack Barton is an underappreciated character. Spending a lot of time with him really brings out the brilliance and subtleties of the character.

Ulu Elexin is another character with subtleties that only come across with repeated interaction. She's surprisingly dangerous.

Anders because.....
He's so sexyterrificloonycreepymaliciouslycreative. A true Verloghokbolian Singer/Songwriter- Mage. Plus his interaction with his "Animal Companion/Familiar/Master?/one&only Friend" Uuc is one of a kind. Nekk'en would manlove him.

Latanya makes me laugh constantly with the roleplaying of an out of country like person who can't speak the language, but doesn't let the barrier get in the way.

Fru has been a delight to interact with, and has written some bardic stuff that is actually pretty beautiful and poetic. That and he's got the MMM kicking again which is great.

La'Varian is a true gentleman and one of the most classy RPers I've ever encountered.

Glenda is quirky in a remarkably stable kind of way.

Latanya, a character who turned a minor quest into a major character trait, and who has one of the classic interactions at the last trade fair. I've really enjoyed playing with Latanya when I've had the chance, and look forward to hearing more from her!

Jack Barton - This man -is- Mikona, both the good and the ugly.

Zven Reaplenoose- One of the most morally complicated characters I have met.

Crow sure overcomes a gap and immerses well with the locals, yet still being able to stay somewhat alienated. Its a hard balance but he sure seems to make it look easy.

Harlow... is one drug/alcohol consuming machine... and good fun

I continue to enjoy my interactions with Glenda! She “computes” good RP.

Diabolina’s story of her trip to Verloghokbol, and her time there, makes for an engaging story. The character continues to “grow” and expresses her internal conflicts very well.

Syth is a fresh new character very well portrayed and with a lot of room to grow

Ranney (not Rainy) was a joy to watch at the bardic event this month. She made us laugh, she made us cry, she was what Avlis bards are all about!

Eleanor shined this month! From dipping and kissing for a good cause at fair to beautiful moments of creativity and wit among friends, she inspired me to savor RP just a little bit more for it's juicy-sweet.

Nayala Gelbert and Gurkz : Awesome RP from them both

El'gos Longstride has my vote this month.

Lanar, the poor Champion is battling way up hill and managing to get around a lot of stubborn, vocal people. It's been a pleasure to watch him find his stride.

Rhiss, let me count the ways.... just absolutely stellar RP all the time!

Freddull Mouze is the magey one with two fleshy arms.

Ferdy Mouze is the magey one without two fleshy arms.

Zander is the classic rager and he's got a touch of the wicked to him. He's one to watch!

Kassandra is great. A paladin that does what she wants when she's allowed to.

Ariana Moonshadow keeps me on my toes as a player and makes this game fun.

Cassandra Aske’s entire death/rebirth tale is fascinating. It is amazing how seamlessly she integrated it into the entire “Invasion of Elysia” storyline, and a tale worth listening to. She continues to have stellar RP on a consistent basis!

Gurkz I enjoy RPing with, especially if I'm on with mero, because two people with some what the same speech and whatnot, one being a little more refined than the other and easier to understand sometimes, but nevertheless, gurkz is an amazing player
