Re: Builders / scripters - seen these?
My comments in a different place:
My first use was to create a large number of variants of a single object. Basically load a uti resource, change a few fields and write out the new resource.
My first use was to create a large number of variants of a single object. Basically load a uti resource, change a few fields and write out the new resource.
My second use was to take those resources and update a merchant. The update consisted of removing the existing items and repopulating with the new objects.I could never wrap my head around Leto. More like I've never tried to wrap my head around it, but this project provided some incentive to do so until... I found the above perl library. Which is good, because I've already invested the sweat into learning perl and I'd have to run Leto through wine.
Of course now that I've done all that, I should really clean up and package my item code and contribute it back. *tosses yet another tuit-deficient task on the evergrowing pile*Hrm... Kivinen's libs operate at a fairly low level and is missing functions to prune the object heirarchy. Anything but an inplace update of existing items required a bit more perl-foo than that commonly found on your average bear. Not to mention having to recreate the embedded item record for the store.
