So, I have a character, Lormak, who many of you have been seeing floating around lately. He's been around for a long time but I haven't played him a great deal. Anyway, his thing was to mine the Mikona Mines and create weapons during the M'Chek / T'Nanshi war which he'd then sell to players and vendors and so forth.
Now, he's no expert. 3 levels of blacksmithing and 3 levels of waponsmithing. Enough to make hot/cold weapons and so forth and turn a profit.
At present, he can't make anything. His hammers no longer pull ore. He's never seen hilt molds and has no idea what quenching potions are. His recipe books Balzlath's Bazaar Axes and Balzlath's Guide to Swordmaking are likely erroneous.
Sure, I'd like him to learn how to make stuff again. But, I'm also at a loss as to how to approach RPing this. Certainly advances in method may come down the line. But, purely logically, the old ways should still work too even though IG that's not practical.
