RPOTM - August Edition!

Post by Ghostie » Fri Aug 29, 2008 10:22 am

Role Player of the Month Awards!

It's that time of the month again! Let us know which pc's you've admired the most over the last month by filling in the ballot here. Show them some love!

Vote now, or forever hold your piece! At least until next month.

Cheers,

- Ghostie and Sapper
  • Rules

    1. No PC (not player, but individual PC) may win a RPotM award (1st or 2nd place) more than twice in a calendar year. Believe me, I know just how great some PCs are, but this is an effort to spread the love around a bit.

The following PC's aren't eligible any more in 2008:
    - Hyacinth Pike
    - Bedlam Dender

    2. Players can vote for their own PCs, but it's not terribly encouraged. Try voting for those other PCs who enrich your gameplay experience by making the world a little more real for you.

    3. Yes, DMs and Team Members can vote. There's no additional weight to their votes, but all Avlis members are encouraged to vote if you feel there are deserving PCs.

    4. Yes, you may vote for PCs played by Team Members.

    5. Please be specific, if you can. This one isn't exactly a rule, but if you want your vote to count... do your best to write the exact floaty name of the PC. I damn sure don't know every PC on Avlis, and there are lots of PCs with similar names or identical first names. Sure, I'll probably know enough to include votes for "Ulu" with the votes for "Ulu Elexin", but give me a hand and write out the full floaty name if you can. Feel free to use the comments section to clarify if you're not sure.

    6. Feel free to use the comment section for explanation of your votes. No, it won't change the vote count or anything, but I do read and enjoy every comment. I'll also be posting certain select comments in the results thread.
I'm pointing at "rule" 6 here, optional, yes, but the more people who comment, the more fun other people will have reading the results post :2thumbs:

So pick up those mouses, click on the linky's, and get to voting!

Shame new players can't really vote for people, as they won't of seen many at all, so I'll just be waiting until I know some people.

Vote for people you've met?

Or better yet, vote for Xerto.

Sure new players can vote! Just pick whoever impressed you most. Everybody's got a different circle of people they know, and not knowing everyone doesn't mean you can't show love to the people you do run with.

Also um... Haven't Flenken and Bedlam both won twice this year? Not that they don't deserve to win every month whether they're eligible or not (YAY CHAOS!)

Maybe, but I haven't been able to play with other much, and pretty the only RP I've seen is in in-game conversations, I don't like to make an uninformed decision.

Bedlam got 2nd place last month, and also this one: viewtopic.php?f=87&t=102688&p=1066302&h ... m#p1066302

Its labeled as January and a bit of December. If that counts as this year, then yes, its 2 times.

I'm gonna say its for January, and it counts as 2. SO yeah, Bedlam is out. but PLOP ISN'T!

As a new player you can always vote for those you had fun with this month. Since this isn't WoW I'm pretty sure they must have been good rp-ers too.

Anyway: two of those I had fun -and/or good rp- with have just recieved their vote again.

Cheers.

Voted! And sorry, not for plop. He griefs me, I swear. I think his rippling speech is vaguely sexist or perhaps racists or perhaps solidist....

Keep those votes coming in guys!

First place AND second place are tied! There is a very close contest going on now, so instead of waiting and thinking "I'll vote tomorrow/later on!" do it NOW and make your favourite PC a winner!!!

:D
