That's total nonsense.Hmm maybe the whole idea with this new system was to weed out the epics on avlis so that only the absolute determined ones will make it.

Meant that it may not been intentional, but the set exp set up might do that anyways. I havent yet got to the 30 something level like others yet but i can see ware it might be tough finding tough enough monsters that give exp. I can see right now epics tagging along really low level characters to the few epic challenge areas they got now in order to garner some experiance. This is what will happen.
uber character says to the pion " hey could you come with me on my epic adventure so i can make mad loot (exp), sure youll probable die a few times cause of the monsters were fighting, but maybe if your lucky and stay out of the way of any baddies you might just live."

Imagine if *insert your favorite high epic character here* accidently left a stray, though.Fire Monkey wrote: I like the idea of epic having areas that challenge them and not going to lowbie areas. What I don't like is that epics need to goto dungeon XXX to find those areas. Given the emphasis on xp for things that are challenging to fight I think it would be better to add more lvl dependent spawns (that go upto epic levels) in general outside areas. This would mean that those "Random encounters" one finds travelling from A to B would provide a challenge (and xp) to epics as well as the lower levels. It would also give great potentials for patrols for various guilds.

This is entirely possible. Look back in the history a little. Back when there were only 20 levels to play with those dwarf mercs were often bitched about as the worst of spawns, especially when lowbies bumped into ones that were spawned and left by higher lvls. I remember more than one threads worth of people bemoaning the fact that there character would never be able to tackle the elf and dwarf merc spawns. Of course then when the epic spawns came in people bitched about the fact that they were impossible too. Now we are worried that there arent enough challenging spawns around to get any xp! Indeed lowbies getting pwned by spawns triggered by epics is old news. Divinia's first death was caused (at lvl 4 i think) by an elf merc casting Timestop-Wail, and was spawned by a high-level (Xal Mor: bastard mage, BASTARD!!!Fire Monkey wrote:This is entirely possible.
