NEED HELP...client and server versions do not match....????

i just got accepted to play on Avlis and when I try to connect i get the error message saying...

"client and server versions do not match, can't connect"

i have all the correct haks in the right folder...

the problem starts with....

...when I log onto the Gamespy server thing it says a new version is available (I already have v1.65) ....i click update and it goes to the updater but it gives me an error saying....

"Can not find patch file: /neverwinternights/nwn_x12_english_from1658062_to1658066.md5"

then it says

"Get the critical rebuild.

I got this file and installed it and it still isn't working....

it also says at the top "Your game version is: 1.65.8062 English"
isn't this the version i'm supposed to have???

WHAT THE BEEP IS WRONG!!!!????

I think the game version should be 1.65.8066. (the previous version was a 1.64.8062)

What you can try is download and patch the revert patch to back to 1.64

Then patch upwards to 1.65 again.

Or patch to 1.66 beta 3 and revert back to 1.65, should have the same effect. Make sure you use the patch designed for both SoU and HotU.

Hope patching is possible when you are on 8062.
What type of cd's you have the separate ones, the gold or platinum box?

Not sure what this does and if it is installed in Avlis, try this when the others don't work. You still have the critical rebuild patch and cd's so in the worse case you can reinstall.

you know, I never even thought about the possiblity of perhaps someone out there still not having both expansions, but I suppose it is possible.

Otherwise, simply reinstall and it should fix your problem, seriously.

well i reinstalled it and got some patches and now the game version is ...1.65.8066....

is that right??? will it work now???

i'll try it out and let you all know later...

EDIT: well it's working but now it says i have an unauthorized cd key...if you know how to help me check out the other thread i made just above this one
