Returning? What do I need?

Post by izyk » Wed Feb 02, 2005 4:27 pm

Hi folks. It has been well over a year since I spent some time in Avlis. I was thinking of re-rolling Zachar and visiting for a little while.

If I did, what would I need? What expansions would I need to purchase. I did a lazy search on the forum, but didn't find anything that really summed it up. If someone could provide a link or the information, I would appreciate it.

You would need SoU AND HotU expansions (or the Platinum edition that has them both), which you should upgrade to version 1.65 (current bioware version).

For avlis you would need the following haks/tlk:

CEP haks 1.50 ( http://nwvault.ign.com/cep/downloads/ )
copaphak4_4.hak ( portal.php?getpage=hakpaks )
universalhak4_3.hak
avlismain1_2.hak
copaptlk3_4.tlk

and the respective haks of each mod.
(e.g nwalleys for Mikona http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/hakpacks/d ... 4471.shtml)

Good to see you back Izyk! :D

If you don't want to reroll Zachar, you can also just request a restore. I think the backups go WAY back.

Looks like it might not be until end of next week anyway...I checked my bank, and it looks like the mortgage won. We need another paycheck.

In the 18 months or so since I left, I got married, bought a house, and got domesticated. But deep down inside, Zachar never really went away.

It would be wonderful if he could be restored....but I am willing to start him over if necessary. It can be made to work IC just fine.

One IC warning, if you are currently in possession of an Iron Mantis Kama...You better be wearing the rags, or you better be good enough to hold onto it. More on that in 10 days.

What you really need... is heal kits. And heal potions. Good armor helps. How bout a helm? A weapon? Yeah, that's a must. A few amulets, a couple of rings... An magic boots. EVERYONE needs magic boots.... Sure.

Welcome back- from one blueberry bum to the next.
