Plus its one of those neiburhoods where they would all wonder why your doing it too. Not to mention its abou 35 fucking 'c here so sleeping is out of the question.

Hate my life, really do. There goes sunday *sighs*

*sighs*

Why do some people take this as a personal insult and refuse to see this has been for the better of the community?

No, let's instead screw the 50 (or more) players with corrupted characters and tell them they can create new level 1's.

Geez

Rollbacks always suck, but the team wouldn't have done it if it wasn't really necessary.

Just about everyone (with a few exceptions) will have lost XP because of this - just go out and do some quests or kill some critters to get it back. Heck you could arrange some expedition with some of the people you see online via tells. Sure it's a bit OOC, but then again, so is a vault rollback. Everyone, got rolled back so no one gained an advantage over you. Just roll with it and work to get back to where you were. There's really no use complaining about it.

Sorry that this happened.

But, since my char died yesterday, I actually gained a few xp. How ironic.

And the friendships our chars made in the last 36 hours are still intact.

Hey, don't get down bro. We all hate your life too.

Thanks to the team for helping all those people out. For those of you complaining, it's best you realize shitloads of characters and inventories were wiped dry so give Jord a fuckin break.

Damn Skippy if you ask me...better they do it now than go a week and find out the solution is a weeks rollback. Ok I lose 3000 xp and about 30k gold and every gem in my persistant chest (2 bags worth).. i get back a half dozen heal potions...worth about 20k gold.. hell it coulda been a whole lot worse....the only thing i'll miss is the Redgate Spear, that I cant even use because of the way I got Detect evil (replaced a weapon feat), but because V comes form Redgate was worth RP stuff to him.

Dont sweat it Jordi, I'm sure you saw the storm coming, best to nip it in the bud now, rather than later.

Thanks for taking the hard decision and fixing the problem cold.

I have come across this once before on a PW and that was caused by people logging on to the server after a crash before it was stable. The resulting server wipe, had only been up a couple of days, caused much complaining and heart ache.

Well done

I know something that might be a little worse then just a few exp lost or some items. I've got no character. Complete character wipe as of the moment. 2000 Exp from lv. 18 and there might be a bigger problem with him.

Thank the gods for the swift intervention. I posted a restore yesterday, dreading the wait for one but now its game on. 4000xp is no biggie to regain, could be worse, I could have a star picket lodged in my neck.

Thanks for the quick fix. The pain of this is a lot less that everyone would have had with repeated crashing. Game on.

HAHAHHAH, suckers! Good thing i was busy all weekend and only played Doom3 when i wasnt busy with something.

Even if i did play over the weekend, you wouldnt see me whining about xp loss and shit because thats not why i play the game. Obviously, since my character is still lvl 17 after 14 months. Stop your bitching and be glad that you CAN still play in the first place because the team fixed the problem. If you dont like it, go play a MMO game.

Thanks Jordi and the rest of the team ..... you guys rock. To hell with these whiners. "Cept Fifty, he's been here long enough to be entiltled to whine.

*hijack for RANT*
As for everyone else, be thankful I don't have any pull. I'd have your PowerGaming arse's all reduced to level 1. Just to see how long it'd take you to get back to your previous levels. And then if I caught you portaling over to other worlds and coming back with more than one appropriate level then I'd delete and perhaps your whole vault if you gave me any lip. So be thankfull I'm NOT a DM!

FYI - I have no problem with people having higher level chars than mine. But it truely irks me to no end to see someone jump over 6 levels in less than 3 weeks time. Granted if I didn't have a life or family I'd be on here nearly 24/7 too ..... but the difference is that I'd be RPing nearly the whole fekking time and not exploiting and XP farming.

Fortunately for me I spent the entire weekend cleaning the house to within an inch of it's life. Nothing lost except a lot of dust. Who would have ever thought it was dusty in the desert?

You may all hate me now.
