This is one of those "one thing leads to another" happenstance things...
One of my very pretentious roomies has a thing for digging up bootleg albums to buy off of the internet and while rummaging in dusty shops here (with questionable legality for rights to sell such items, I'm sure). I got one such item placed in my lap a little while ago (with a grinning face behind it) that has a pretty good recording of the Tokyo version of a concert I went to a while back, here in Vancouver. I think this was an earlier version from 1998, but the pair did tours together until 2012, and I saw them here in 2001.
This was from the pretty well-known "Face to Face" tour stuff by Sir Elton John and Billy Joel for over a decade. The recording only had songs with Billy in them (some of him covering Elton stuff, and duets with both), but I enjoyed him even more than my all-time favorite in the concert I saw. They both were a hoot to see together (I'm sure you can guess who won the piano duel stuff

).
Anywho, I was happily listening to this, then during one song Billy started laughing all the time and I had to figure out why (stuff doesn't make as much sense when you only hear it), so... YouTube to the rescue!
Looks like
Spotify has it if you want a listen. The audio version I have is much better quality than the YouTube video (wasn't "released" until 2009), but I had a good laugh at this.
Billy Joel (Feat. Sir Elton "Godzirra" John) - "My Life" [Tokyo 1998]
*Edit* Had to add in the "Sir" title for Elton, as I get reminded of it in a chorus here by everyone, even though only one of them is from there. I'm pretty sure It'd be "Sir John" when using single names, but even uttering his first name gets the correction. NH4, do back me up. I'm only a lowly Canadian!
