No sound

Post by Sephira » Fri Jun 05, 2009 3:36 am

So, I have a weird problem that I've been ignoring for quite some time now. For some reason I lost sound when playing NWN1. It doesn't happen with any other game, even any other application. Just NWN1. I don't hear any sound whatsoever; music, background sounds, voice, sound effects, nothing. Here's how my sound settings look:

You'll notice a lot of relevant stuff greyed out. I possess 2 speakers and a subwoofer, which appear to operate through a program "Turtle Beach Riviera" which is present at start up.

Multiple attempts have been made to fix the problem and get the proper settings put back on but to no avail. Repeats of these attempts are acceptable because it was so long ago I don't remember what we tried.

Any and all help is welcome!

Advance sound options

Pick another drive and click test

Past that check with whomever makes Turtle Beach Rivier for latest drivers

Unfortunately....

Thats not an option.

However, you did give me the idea to consider updating my driver. I'll have to check with gOSolo to see what my options are there.

Try running the nwconfig.exe application found in NWN's root folder and press the Change button that should show up on the first window.

Okay...

Sound is set to Auto Detect and Dedicated Internet Connection is checked. All my video settings (except resolution but that's because I play in windowed mode) are at their highest.
