NOTICE: Make sure you scroll down to view the latest version of the map before commenting on or correcting the work displayed.
I have taken the time to create a new, more readable territorial map of the world that we now walk upon. I hope this proves useful. I also hope that it is accurate as the previous map was a bit difficult to view. If this is accurate, maybe it can be posted in the official "About Avlis" section.

Nice map, but is there a key to the colors? what are the forest/jungle/drylands?

Brilliant map
Great job. I assume the colours have no special significance?
One minor point - I think Ferrell is spelt with two 'L's, but I may be wrong there.
Now I understand the layout of the various regions.
BTW - ds77, it is a Political Map, so it does not show the Forest, Jungle, drylands - only the Political boundaries

Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.

Is it just me, or does Deglos look a lot like South America? Great map by the way.

only one thing that I see as needing fixed...
Deglos actually comes all the way down and meets T'nanshi

thats a lot better than the old one, however, Ill refer you to check orlerons post regarding mountain ranges etc, the cities being the key, orl placed dots for each city and its location on the map and it woul be nice to see those on the map.
fabulous work! YA! a pretty map!

It is pretty and easier to read than the old one, but there are a few mistakes on it - you should double-check it against Orl's original.

Guys, he said right in the title that it was a political map. Its not supposed to have mountain ranges or forests on it. You would think capitols would be on there, but its probably just a draft version.
Good work

The area in brown, south of Deglos is not named. Isn't this actually a part of Deglos still?
Let's end it with the eternal Avlis mantra:
I thought it was that way, but Orleron can correct as always.
So much fun,
yet so little time to enjoy it.

1: I wanted to make sure that I had it all correct before I went on to add any cities, capitols or anything of the sort (I will however add them soon).
2: I don't think I will add mountain ranges or forests or even rivers (maybe) to the map since, yes, it is a political map.
3) The colors simply show the different areas and have no ulterior significance.
4) I got ALL of the info from the original map, so anything that is incorrect would be a misinterpretation on my part. The map is a bit confusing on its own, so it was a bit difficult to tell one from the other. Also: this means that if Ferrel is spelled incorrectly, it is also incorrect on the original map.

No, its right. T'Nashi never touches the big chunk of Deglos. It does touch that little part, which is probably a part of Deglos as well. you made the little part too big. Look at it again, its only horizontal... that upper jut is not labelled as part of a country.

You lost me. Please explain. I am looking at both my and the original map as we speak and I still do not understand! Is this right?
EDIT: I took a look at the orignial and it looks as though the confusion is stemming from the fact that those big black areas (swamps?) are outlined in a light brown. So, it looks as though Deglos comes all the way down. Take another look...

from the original map, it looks more like the 2 sections of Deglos don't touch each other. That is probably because Deglos is predominantly undergound, under the mountain range
but it is not clear as to who owns the small portion of land between the two parts either

Grrr. I'll just leave it as it is. People will get the picture. It's too confusing the other way.

Yep, now it looks about right. Although I still think that Ferrell is with two l's. It was written with one "l" on the original map, but in the more recent updates in text format it is constantly written as Ferrell.
Anyway, let's wait for the answer from the one who thought it all up.

thanks for the help and support, guys. I appreciate it. Also: where can i find a map of the city locations? All i know at this point is the Seven Cities as shown on the original political map. Once I find their locations, I can start adding them to the map! Any other help would also be great: terrain, rivers, etc. I'll assume the black blotches on the original map are mountains

The map looks pretty good know. Regarding the cities, refer to the black dots on Orl's map.
I think I can make out ...
Mikona South M'Check
Blandenburgh (on border of M'Check and T'Nanshi)
Le'Or T'Nanshi (right under the 'N' of T'Nanshi)
I can't make out Elyisa - my geography tells me it's on the coast on the North East of T'Nanshi, but according to the map there isn't any coast there - unless there's just a big river!
[Edit: Doh! I'm always getting East and West mixed up! Ever since I saw that sign saying Elyisa 200 miles East, when it is clearly 200 miles West
Of course I meant to say that Elysia is on the NW of T'Nanshi. And as we all know now - it's on the edge of a lake
]
By the way, I thought that The Seven Cities might have been classed as a separate "City State" (i.e. like a nation in its own right) as it seems to have a line drawn round it - or maybe it is part of Breckon as you have it ?

yeah, I never understood Elysia being ont he coast either. I think we need some definite reclassification by Orl on some of the locations.

I have no idea. Also: I am not too great with geography and I don't know where these cities are on avlis, so if someone could somehow label the black dots and then i can put the cities in a map. I'm just the artist here, LOL.

here maybe this will help
the 3 yellow dots should be Mikona, Le'or and Elysia
Elysia is located on the eastern edge of Ferrell, across a lake in fact. Lake Eridanus. There is a river that runs from the lake down to the inlet south
the arrow pointing to Ferrell is also pointing to it's city Kitanya Hill

Yes that is VERY helpful, thanks. Can anyone add to this map? I would like to get as many cities on there as possible!

I wish there was list of Cities all over Avlis. Despite the fact that we have never been there. Would be nice to know where I go when I go on Vacation from Avlis and tell folks I was in the area of Seven Cities exploring the woods.
*pleading to Orl* Please list major cities, rivers, lakes and towns....PLEASE!*

if you look at the original map... you can easily see where the 7 cities in Brekon should go..
and if you look very closly you will see a small black dot in the middle of the Kurathene Empire taht should be a city
and there is another dot south of the name Jechran as well. which brings up a good point... I'm not sure based on the original map if the area south of jechran (the brown and black parts) is part of jechran or part of Galdos.. I have a feeling its actually part of Jechran because I would think that Galdos is also mostly under the mountains as well...
