Aaaarrggghhh!

Okay, heres the scoop, Im now batting 1 for 4 in the installing portraits correctly realm. For the third consecutive install of NWN on a diff computer, I have managed to muck up the portraits yet again. My only success it appears was on the very first install of NWN on an old, old computer, so many years ago.

Where do the portrait files go? There was no portrait folder in my NWN so I made one and put them in there. (and that was after a 4 hr download, please dont make me do that again!)

IG I only get generic bald guy where portraits should be present. I miss it because I like to use these images in assisting my visualization of others during RP...after all, we all choose these portraits for a reason, it imparts a flavor to the chars...

There are no subfolders in that folder, right? Should be exactly portraits too ...

Jo'd you were right in you have to make the folder. Some common errors are: misspelled folder name, Sub-folders in the main folder (like hamlet said), and folder not located in right spot.

Path Should be:
Drive -> NeverwinterNights -> NWN -> portraits (note lowercase spelling)

If the above is correct, and you have Custom Pics in there, then they should work. Granted, that is if you have the pics that the other person is using....

I appear to have the correct path, my folder appears to be correctly labeled, there are 5,800 tga files in the 'portraits' folder...I still only get generic bald guy. Seems with a thousand different images, I should have hit a few?
