Avlis policy on: Sneaking behind a person through a door

Rules for Sneaking through doors left open by another player:

This is not permitted for doors to inn rooms, private portions of guildhalls or player housing or any other limited-access areas of this sort.
If you are unsure, it is best to err on the side of caution and not enter. If you mistakenly do enter such a place, immediately send an ooc tell to the player whose character you followed, requesting to be let out. The purpose of this rule is to maintain the sanctity of player/guild housing against exploits caused by game engine limitations, and failure to follow this rule is a BANNABLE OFFENSE.

For non-plot door, one human shadowing another is able to slip into a house house behind another. Players who want to minimize the possibility of being followed should immediately shut the door manually behind them after entering a house doorway.

Note, in either case, if a DM is present then his/her judgment for any given situation ALWAYS takes precedence over any general guideline.
