Clarification: When you say the polls are now open, Terry, does that mean that any votes cast before that post have been discarded this cycle? I voted when Vroshgrak posted a reminder back on the 26th.

no that means I didn't see the other post. If you voted already you are good to go. I accept all votes during the month, but normally close the polls at Midnight EST the last day of the month.

There is _no_ danger to be found on this route, but have some winter clothes with you.

These directions begin with the cave entrance in the wilderness.

Enter the cave
Head North into Nanshi Urbaz
Head West into the West Warren
In the north of the west warren, there is a cave with the sign "Causeway" in front of it. Enter that one.
Go up to the causeway caves
Enter the causeway
Follow the causeway until you are in the crossroads.
Go to the right, direction Nutz and Bazgampf
Follow the spiral cave to the bottom.
Do not enter bazgampf, so go to the left there.
Follow the causeway until you enter the causeway minehead.
The eastmost tunnel leads you to the causeway mines,
then take the westmost tunnel to the causeway again. This is a one-way mine, but it saves some tunnel walking to know this.
You are on the causeway again
Follow the sign to Nutz (Left)
Enter the first tunnel off the causeway, to the right.
Head right everywhere, and do not enter the tunnel with the shiny lights.
When you are at a quite large cave with some Deep Rothes, search for a cave entrance in the middle of the cave. Enter this one. It is on the east side of the main platform. The rothes sometimes stand in your way.
Enter the castle entrance you see when you enter the cave.
Take the portal up.
When you exit to the surface, put on some winter clothes.
Follow the path east, then north and then west again, around a small peak.
Take the mountain stairs up, between the two large towers.
Enter the cave you see, it has its opening orientated towards the south.
You are under the academy now.
Go to the left, and walk in a large spiral to enter the scholars inn.
Go straight ahead and enter the Academy of Mortal Magic.

PS, the portal to rockhome is the yellowish portal in the northeast of the Academy.
