Did you know dragon is a 'custom appearance' remort option?
Remort Dragons may now take the Dragon Disciple PRC.
After discussion, the DM teams have agreed that to better facilitate dragon remorts and make them Properly Dragons, we will make Dragon Disciple available to them. Here's how this will work:
- Moving forward, any player who wants to remort to a dragon will have their dragon character automatically qualify for the PRC unlock as soon as they have the prerequisites.
- We expect all new dragon remorts to plan on unlocking and taking the appropriate dragon disciple type.
- This update will functionally give you proper dragon properties such as dragon breath and energy immunity!
- You're not pledged to a dragon, you ARE the dragon. No need to swear yourself to another dragon (unless you want to.)
- Note that DD is still a PrC, which means if you desire to dual PrC with your character, you will need to reach our to the event team for special permission.
- Sorry, at this time, tiny dragons will be unable to unlock the PrC for others.

Please note we have specific requests when making a dragon: We've requested dragons not use weapons and that dragons keep the alignment of their original dragon type. Dragons must also be small enough to not cause size issues, which usually means hatchling or young. If you request to remort to dragon, we can go over details with you during remort discussion.
Are you an existing dragon?
You're grandfathered in if you don't want to take Dragon Disciple. We won't force you to update. However, we encourage it!
- To facilitate this encouragement, we will allow you relevel up to 10 of your levels to dragon disciple levels. (We will take away up to the last 10 levels of your character, give you XP, and these lost levels must be replaced with dragon disciple levels.)
- Like new dragon characters, you need to take the disciple elemental type appropriate for your dragon type, and you will still need to meet the prereq's for unlock.
- This offer will only be available 1/character and will only be available until Jan 1, 2026.

Note: Edge case: It's possible if your dragon has levels in 3 classes, like 11 bard/11 fighter/11 sorcerer, this process won't work for you as-written. You might still have 3 classes after leveldown, preventing DD from being taken. If this is you, please reach out to me via PM and we'll work something out.
If you want to make more changes than this, such as swapping more than 10 levels or completely remaking from level 1 to facilitate a cool dragon disciple build, consider using your refresh to customize your character.
Finally, shapeshifting into a dragon is not sufficient to gain this benefit (sorry transmuters and changelings!) This is for dragon remorts only.
