Worldforge Magazine now free
Protections for registered users on WFM have been removed. Anyone may now see all content. All you have to do is register, and then ignore it when it gets to Step 2 and asks you to pay $ to subscribe. (You will always see that subscription step at the top of the screen, but you will have access to all files and forums.)
If you are a current paying subscriber, please don't leave because we still depend on that money to keep this place existing. More actual subscribers wouldn't hurt.
Other than that, have fun and check out the pdf issues that Buddha worked pretty hard to make as awesome as they are, along with TripleAught, our editor and several decent authors.
You might also enjoy the up-to-now secretive Villains of Avlis forum, which is the counterpart to Heroes of Avlis. All info there is strictly OOC and you will be penalized if you use it in game without having legit reasons.
Enjoy. http://www.worldforgemagazine.com

What brought this on, if I may know?

Nobody joined WFM for the stuff that is there. Every single member is only there to support Avlis, and it's really a shame not to let people see the good content that is there, especially some of the historical Avlis stuff.Sephira wrote:

My thought is that if people want to join WFM to support Avlis, they'll do that either way. There's really no point to keeping it private, though I just shut down one forum because it has the CoPaP passwords in it and I can't delete the post. (I get an error when I try.)

Will continue subscribing anyway!
If you've got a Paypal account, setting up an automatic monthly subscription to WFM in support of Avlis is painless. Backing out is also easy, if you change your mind. You won't though... Avlis is special.

Is it just me?
I can't log in. Got my conformation E-mail and password, but it doesn't work.
And I was so looking forward to spending my night reading WFM....

Re: Worldforge Magazine now free
yeah, nothing down there. message is "wrong user name or password"
Underneith that in red it says "cookies must be enabled beyond this point" I checked and my computer should be accepting cookies, I have no trouble being remembered by the forum when I log in, and that is done by cookies as well IIRC.
Going to go with the forgot my password route, and see if the new password it gives me will work.

Re: Worldforge Magazine now free
Yay! Tried one more time before asking for a new password. It seems the issue may have been the "*" in my password is this *, from the num lock pad, not this *, over the number 8 on the keyboard.
Either way, it's working now.

Great!
If anyone else has issues with WFM, no need to muck up this thread. Just PM me and I'll take care of it.
