Many things have changed with the upgrade of the forum and the portal. Right now, only the basic subsilver2 theme is working, but more will be added.

Known Issues:
* Bug Tracker doesn't work
* Player Apps doesn't work
* Community block isn't around (RPotM, etc)
* No character quotes
* No Server status

However, there are many cool things that this upgrade gives Avlis. Take a moment to go through your User Control Panel and see the new features.

Some cool things include:
* Birthday announcements
* Post merging
* Poster ignoring (looking at you xarthna!)
* PMs being sent to multiple people at once
* Better security for bots, making registration easier
* Tons more listed here

This was a long and painful process.

If you see any BIG problems, post them here

Although only subsilver2 is currently working, and that makes me really really sad, I would like to thank Rene for all the time he's put in to making the convertion, as well as Buddha for his infinite help. Hurrah!

The old forums are up and working old.avlis.org. This site will be up for about a month to let people move posts/etc that didn't get migrated over.

Also, the old bug tracker works, so until a new one is ready, you can use that.

This took a huge amount of work by the web ninjas, and I imagine they still have a little while to go before it's complete. Kudos to our web volunteers who took time out of their personal holiday to do this!!

I would like to add my thanks to the guys who worked so hard to convert this Forum, during their own time and without pay.

Although I admit I still find the new Forum confusing and hard to use, I have no doubt that it will prove to be a huge improvement - with better security and better features.

We are patient, and know the folks who are doing the work use the boards same as the rest of us. It'll be done when its done, but damn it is sweet so far. I'll save the raving for the rave thread, but wow!
