And the winners of the RPotM June are...

Post by Jazz » Sat Jul 07, 2007 10:43 am

It was a close call, but finally one PC rose to the top with clearly more votes then the rest, and again it's a new one! Too bad he totally stole my build & character idea, but I will forgive him. *deletes his own PC*

Second place is a two-way tie. It was a close call. There was a dozen other PC's that got 1 or 2 votes less then these chicks.
  • 1st place:
    Telina Sunmar

    2nd place (draw):
    Raen
    Rali'vinee Ish'tarestacia
The prizes:
1st Prize: 500 experience points per character level
2nd Prize: 250 experience points per character level

Congratulations, all! Page the DM channel when you're IG to receive you award cookie.

And as always, here's a broad selection of all the comments you submitted with your ballots:

Among the many half-nymph characters there are only a few that really stand out. The characters that do not have the race simply for the charisma bonus, but are also role-played accordingly. Telina is one such character that is role-played with excellence. Being around her it is easy to see that you are dealing with someone very close to nature and with the odd quirks you would expect from a half-nymph.

Raen is so cute.

The moment I see Rali, I see what I wish every player was. Someone who could role play to the point of an art form. She deserves to be recognized.

Cairn is amazing in his new role as FOIGer.

It's always hard for a nice guy to play a tough bastard... Ayoun does a great job at being a sick f*ck.

I've forgotten how great of a character Hert is until recently. RP is top notch with him, and very fun to be around.

WOW! Findail can sleep grief with the best, keeping the RP story line going at full tilt and leaving you happy to go to work with 2 hours sleep!

Ashanar Sekor is my favorite new character on the block... he's got a cool style, a bit of a rough edge, yet he's likeable and raw... the first-ever Avlissian 'rock star' bard.

Gotthardt Staahl: I can tell that he has gone far, as I feel the character is
turning into a serious competition for the Drama Queen throne. Get out of my chair!

William Trueheart - Solid RP flow without forcing his agenda!

Aspen Stormcat is a deep character that have the great quality to enrich those character who RP with. The character is awesome and the player behind her is even more!

Kelvos - he is always charming, helpful and evil behind this pretty face. He is perfect Avlis Gigolo.

Otho -- the perfect stoic character with an occassional twang of wit. Adventure with Otho is always a pleasure.

Losin is simply awesome, every chance I've gotten to RP with her has been golden.

Thienna is a great and original character who I loved from the first meeting. It is very nice to see a character that stands out due to a well-detailed background, personality, and great role-play, rather than because of some odd things that seem out of place or by trying to be opposite to a stereotype.

Ath'nook
is such a complex character that even when I wish I could make him speak faster I still admire the consistency of the player in keeping it up

Celedor continues to be one of the bestplayed amusing PCs on Alvis imho :P

There's nothing quiet like watching Hert get insulted have it sort of hit his thick head and slowly sink in while he acts like nothing happened then all of a sudden he'll stop, mid-sentence, and turn to the guy and go "Shoo! That weren't nice at all!" lol

Star: Everyone loves a well-played slut.

Sher'cha plays a bard as well as anybody i've seen. Fun to RP with, and a quality character that makes avlis more funner to play.

Fergus is will Fergus. What more can you say.

Ji'mas Elyse - Very few folks have not had lessons from the self proclaimed "potion maker" who works in HEAL when not traveling the world finding new components and collecting for himself or others. The depth of his character history is impressive as is his determination at a single craft-bringing it to a lovely depth of knowledge with the goal of spreading it. Its been an absolute joy to watch Rali grow up and develop into the person that she is now.

Raen -- For being to bards what Don King is to boxers. Oh, and for that ... thing. >:)

Telina Sunmar is my other favorite for this month. A druid/champion will be an original and fun idea, and Xiaou plays it to the hilt, focusing on nature, natural charms and herbal remedies, and is a general all-around pleasure to play with.

Jared Evershield is a lying, backstabbing, vain, selfish, arrogant, ass-kissing bastard. He's just perfect.

It's a no brainer, Telina RP's like no other! a druid that outdoes the druids and a nymph that wows the numpns!

Miriel - damn it i just think chics with piercings are hot.. hehe J/K everybody know Hammy can out RP everybody...

Mylo reminds me of that bad guy from the robin hood movie, you can't help but feel sorry for him ;)

Harry makes "hunting" things a whole lot better and he almost always has something to get people to go with him

Thienna is one of those awesome people gravid with potential, leaning on the precipice between heroism and cowardice and teetering. I catch my breath watching her out of such concern for the direction she goes.

Adagio - for the RP he creates... he always tried to get you to RP as well, where some others RP RP RP, but ignore your RP... he takes EXTRA steps to get you into the RP mood.

Sephira is one of the few pc's around I see committed to letting IC circumstance override personal vision. She is noble, petty, generous, spiteful, caustic, tender and vulnerable in her strength. She is a very full character with too much depth to fit any archetype.

... Twins ftwins.
