Daylight Saving Time

Post by Aeveras » Fri Mar 16, 2007 5:12 pm

It's that time of the year folks! Actually, it's been that time of the year for nearly a week. Did you get out of bed an hour late this weekend? Maybe get mixed up and got out of bed two hours late? By now, everyone should have their clock set correctly. However, for event planning, there is one vitally important thing to note:

If you're on DST, your clock went ahead 1 hour, but GMT did not.

Last week I was GMT-5, now I'm GMT-4. Also, I stress "if you're on DST" part. Most of North America is now in DST, but most of Europe isn't, and when I say "most," I might mean "all." The moral of the story, is everyone please keep in mind this colossal pain in the ass when scheduling meeting times, because we're not all on DST yet and it's going to be that way for awhile.

- Aeveras, now GMT-4

FYI, the EU, including the UK, changes its clocks on Sunday 25th March.

All together now - WE HATE DST
Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.
