One question, which I'm not sure can be answered IC'ly...
Where in the wiki should we post our entries, and how should we denote them as entries? (that's two questions, isn't it... oops!)

... and where in the Wiki are these detials ?
I turn into a pumpkin at midnight GMT, so I could have missed all this even if i knew where it was going to take place.

Question one, which I have also asked ICly, what is the deadline? Question two, does it have to be something new, or can we enter things we wrote a long time ago that are already on the boards? Question three, does it have to fit into one of the categories listed above? The IC missive would suggest not, but the above does not make it clear. Question 4, can we enter more than once? Question 5, does it have to be factual within Avlis continuity, or can it be an entirely fictional account of something?
For example, I do not plan to enter this, but if I did a new novella, would it be acceptable?

Or am I supposed to ask this ICly? Somehow, this is all very unclear.

Hopefully the IC questions (1, 2, and 3 above) will be answered in the other thread. If they aren't by tomorrow then I'll do so. The answer to number 4, IMO, would be you can make one entry per PC. But I need to clear that with the Team. I'll get the answer here as soon as I know.Fifty wrote:Question one, which I have also asked ICly is what is the deadline? In answer to, "...can we enter more than once?"
You can submit as many entries as you want from as many PCs as you want, but only 1 entry per player can be chosen as a finalist. That said, with the limited time I'd recommend going for quality and not quantity. One really well written entry will be worth more than 50 mediocre-written ones.

The IC board posting leads one to believe that the entry can be anything ...song, fiction story, history, etc. But the only catagories I see above are PC Bio, PC history, Journal entry, general history, and Guild info. I can't figure out which to go on, the IG info, or the info here.
I'm probably just an idiot, but could you spell it out for me?

When you send me (by PM) or staff@avlis.org your entry, please make sure that you add your PC name - the one to receive the prize for the IC work.

Please don't forget to include this. All pages:
Include {{Entry|user=Name}} on top of your page.
Also, this wiki page has some good information on how to make a good wiki article.

Here is an example wiki contest entry. The song always gave me a chuckle, so I threw it up there as an example. I thought it might help.

Can you enter with an entry that you add to until the deadline or would you rather complete works that are not edited until after the deadline?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Complete, please. We'll start reading them (in earnest) after the deadline. That said, if anyone wants to resubmit please wait until you're sure it's final then send it to me with a note saying it's being resubmitted (not really an issue since you're just editing your Wiki page).Katroine wrote:Can you enter with an entry that you add to until the deadline or would you rather complete works that are not edited until after the deadline?
