Do Not Update to 1.64 Yet!
Please wait for an announcement that Avlis has updated to 1.64 before updating yourself. Otherwise you will be unable to play on Avlis.
It'll take about a week to two weeks before Avlis updates.

Apparently 1.64+CEP=unstable...a CEP-upgrade is needed to perform ok with 1.64.

Go to the Bioware NWN website and look for the link to their patch download section. Download the patch to revert your version back to 1.62.
As long as you do not have NWN Platinum I see no reason why a revert would not work.

It is most likely due to some heavy revisions in the 1.63? Or maybe that the next few updates for NWN will essentially make every copy of the game a Platinum edition?
This is only what I heard, but generally as far as games and updates are concerned I do not think it would be possible to revert the version of the Platinum edition cuz it comes with 1.63 already installed.
I have also heard that reverts to 1.62 or any earlier version on Platinum edition would not be possible.
As far as I know, from what I have read on the boards here and elsewhere, rverting to a version lower than 1.63 will not work at all for the NWN Platinum as the game comes with 1.63It may or may not work going 1.63->1.64->1.62. Its worth a try at least.

You can just run the 1.62 patch file (for Wxp)Frogger wrote:ACK! I already did the update. Is there a way to remove it?

Hi, I just got my NWN Deluxe box and installed it completely: now as far as I can see it runs on version:
1.59.8037 English
Doesn't that mean I can upgrade it to 1.62 and play on Avlis?

All I can tell you is that... you've got to play the cards life deals you. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But at least you're in the game. - Vic Fontaine, DS9.

Should work yes. As long as you have the same version as is on the servers (NWN patch 1.62 with SoU and HotU installed) and the correct haks and tlk file (use the full installer) things should work just fine.Marijn wrote:Hi, I just got my NWN Deluxe box and installed it completely: now as far as I can see it runs on version:

New Update
What if we already did, before we ever even heard of Avlis? Any idea for sure, how long it will be, before the server is updated?

platinum
I recently bought the platinum version of nwn and updated. When I tried to do the revert thing it wouldn't let me play at all. It kept on saying to insert the disk. I ended up having to re-install the game. So to save all you platinum owners out there a little time...Don't do it!

I've been checking on the official CEP website every day, and see no official *final* release for their 1.5 version.
We will not do a release now, and then have to do a release a few days later.
There are other things BESIDES the CEP that need to be done, some of which I have no direct control over myself.
Please be patient.

Let me get this right, seeing as how I, my two friend's and my friends llama all disagree on what you just said.
(A) You said it v1.5 is out, and you will begin working on updating
(B) You said v1.5 is out, but they're still tweaking and it hasn't been made official
(C) You said v1.5 is out and would get to work on updating as soon as the other fixes and such the server needs done are done.
(D) Grruush, Gra-baa *spits*
Please say which (if any) is correct.
P.S. No llama's were harmed in the making of this post.
