Hi everyone.... dig my nifty forum name color. Sweet. 
Wanted to thank the web powers for the logistics over the last couple days. Also wanted to let you all know what exactly it is I am coming back FOR. My life has stabilized a bit. The kids are older now, at least most of them are. (I have 4.) I look out over the NWN servers and I understand one mission for me: Keep Avlis alive.
In our heyday, Avlis NWN had about 2,000 active players, with over 100 on during peak hours on weekends. Today, I think we have about 200. (Maybe one of the database jockeys can check me on that number?) The NWN servers are over 10 years old! Wow! I never in my wildest dreams thought that they would go so long, and you know what? It's conceivable that they could go 10 more years. I think the Avlis Team for the NWN servers does a great job keeping them going, and I want to clarify to you folks: Pleth is in charge of the NWN servers, and I am technically not a part of the Avlis Team for the NWN servers..... hence the "Advisor" designation. I plan to leave those servers run as they do, because it's working. The exception is that you might actually see more of the lore I've written more recently make it onto the servers. Previously, we kept my later lore (post 2nd Fairy War) separate from the NWN servers. So that will be fun.
Keeping Avlis alive means trying to think a little bigger than the NWN servers, to get more people in here enjoying Avlis to enrich our community.
What we used to call The Vision, in my day, has been a raging success. Fully 90%+ of what I envisioned for this place has come true. For those interested in The Vision 2.0 for Avlis, check out the post I'm making in the General Forums.
