Forum Maintenance Schedule For This Weekend

Hello Avlissians!

This weekend, the ninjas will be attempting to upgrade our forums to the latest version of phpBB (phpBB3). What does that mean to you exactly? Well, first of all, the boards will be unusable for a long (8-12 hours) period of time while the data is being converted. Second, there will be some features that will not be available with the new version immediately. There will be a portal page (using phpbb3 portal), but it won't look exactly the same as you know it. Third, some of the styles will be going away temporarily. I know it would break NH4's heart to have a forum with out Chronicles, but we may need to have it like that for a short period of time. The goal is to have 4 styles on launch and incrementally add more.

If you are wondering what the new features will be, please check here for a comparison of phpBB2 and phpBB3. There are tons of cool things, plus it lets us go back to easy registration for users instead of having to manually do it because of NecroZombies phentermine bots.

There will be an old forum setup, just as you know it now, and used for backup just in case some of the posts or other things don't go well (and we can roll it back). However, this will be taken down after a month.
