Vampiric Regeneration Problem

Post by Dirk Cutlass » Wed Apr 13, 2005 8:40 am

This (viewtopic.php?t=52859&highlight=) was posted in NWN General Discussion. It seems that vampiric regeneration on weapons is more "reliable" in Single-Player than in Multiple-Player. Do you think this is heart-beat problem or something like that? Anyway to fix it (I guess it's probably hard-coded like most combat features).

You could fix it by using an OnHitCast property.

I heard that OnHitCast was bad for lag.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

Depends on how it's coded, but yes it can be very bad.

By the way, it seems to be known that VR only works on the first attack of a flurry - it seems that way in SP or MP, and no more or less reliable in either case.

Elv uses VR arrows from time to time, and they work with the above exclusion.
