Can it be done?
Can the AC type for items be changed in any way?
Example: boots that provide Deflection bonus, or Cloak that provides Dodge bonus.

"When is this project to start?
I, uh, accidentally did not see that it had not started yet, so tonight i killed all the elysian merchants on the list, and most of the wilderness ones."

In game? No way. In the toolset, just throw one off, and add the other.

I checked this right after he asked his question because it seemed it was an obvious answer. I made a set of boots. You get one indicator for AC and you aren't allowed to change it to a different type. I"d assume that is why we are in the scripting forum, has anyone writen a script that can override the base AC bonus types that the toolset naturally assigns to items?

I havent scripted this stuff in a while so I dont remember, but you could just have a normal set of boots and on the OnEquip have wearing the boots boost the PC's AC by whatever. The toolset is being stupid and crashing every 30 seconds so I cant find out. This method would be clumsy and youd have the problem of the effect not showing on the examine unless you script that too, and the boots being really cheap unless you script that as well. Theres probably a much better way, but I dont know it and cant find out right now.

The OnEquip event isn't even there yet is it? It isn't even sure yet that they are going to implement it in HotU if I'm not mistaken...
