[nwnX2] Memory issue

Post by Gad » Wed Oct 22, 2003 3:45 am

Hi

I'm trying to use the nwnX2 system and would like to handle >1024 bytes variables with the ODBC module.
My SQL system seems to accept such big data entries, and so does the nwscript too (strings are limited to 32kB). But the placeholder for the ODBC in nwnX is actually 8x128 bytes wide.

I'm not sure the conceptors of the (wonderful) nwn-Extender read these forums, but if someone could give me some details on this limitation, it would be very great. :)
So my main question is : may I enlarge the placeholder ? (easily ?)

(And.. well, sorry if my english is hard to understand, I've had very bad english teachers... :D)

Hi, Gad.

While some of NWNX2's developers do frequent these boards, the best place to get information is the NWNX Guild at Bioware's website. You can find a link to the Guild here: portal.php?getpage=nwnx

Thanx. I've just read the guild board in order to check if my answer wasn't already there, but I didn't find anything.
I'll try to ask there too, but only guild members can post on that board (*grmbl*). So I sent a request to join the guild... (perhaps you could ask it for me.. ? well, I know I abuse... ;)).

I'll post the answer here if I get anything. Thanks again. :)
