City of Evil

Post by TheBluDragon » Thu Aug 28, 2003 4:32 am

Ok, not really a scripting question, but I am already here, and on a roll so I am going to ask the question anyway and none of you can stop me so naaarrrrr!!!! Whew *out of breath*

I am working on a mod that will basically add up to a city of evil (pirate city, city of thieves type thing).
I have a few ideas about how the city will function, how good is kept in check and so on.

What I want to ask of the guys that run Travellers and Hala and all those is, would you be willing to have a look at it and either a. add it into your world as part of your world, and give me access to continue it's development or b. host it on your server. I am on ADSL in Australia, so hosting it myself is not an option coz of the performance that would result.

I just want to see what the general consensus is for the idea, it is only in early stages of development. So far I have a lot of ideas, and only a couple have been put to keyboard so far.

The script I am working on at the moment is to require all people in the city to have a "city pass" which is issued on entry to the city and on application. Different passes give you different access to various parts of the city, and different types of treatment by the guards  (Yes you should be able to join the dots by now).

Anyway, could those developing the various worlds give me a show of opinion here.
Orleron/Silk if you guys care to comment on a possibility for this in Avlis, I would be thrilled, but I dont imagine this happening considering how busy you guys are already.

By the way, I have just found out that Eve is available to buy in australia, so I am deciding at the moment wether to continue with this, or get into Eve.

I'd be happy to take a look at anything you put together, and let you know what I think. But I'm not in any position to speak for Travellers at all.

Bye Now,
Jerry Cornelius - Hope that helps.
