That was incredible.

Thank you for such attention to detail.

And don't worry, there's south and then there's the other south. Happens all the time.

I've been staring at my screen trying to decide how to start this, not because it is difficult to think of sincere compliments for Ambrosia; I have many for her. Rather, I've already expressed my gratitude for her in private - to her, Rudiki, Pleth, and others - but never publicly on the forums. I feel a pressure to recap those same extolments verbatim, since they contained such important specifics, but it would be like trying to rewrite a deleted paper just as it was...nearly impossible.

So I am left with sharing an overarching sentiment absent of some specifics, which is that Ambrosia is a deeply empathetic, deeply insightful, deeply planful, incredibly hardworking, and inclusively-oriented storyteller and dungeon master extraordinaire.

I've been playing Sceluscio Potementia since 2005. I've been quite fortunate that his story continues to pique my interest, thanks in large part to the rich interactions he's had with certain characters to keep that buoyed. That being said, it did seem as though his story was reaching a conclusion, or at least a point of limited progression. Ambrosia gave me an opportunity to refresh and reinvigorate this treasured character of mine, both his reputation and removing an important "traumatic blockage" that affected how he showed up in the world. This is in reference to that lovely Scellithid moment from this past Summer and the subsequent events. It had been a long while since I had seen that level of consistent, extended, focused roleplaying around a single issue, and I'm quite grateful she wove in my character's small story into that larger one she was telling. I'm sure she won't mind me saying this, but she had written to me during this time that: "Ultimately, if I tell the rest of my story well, it won't be about the Red Star at all, but about Redemption, Restoration, and Love." As everyone who was involved in their own respective storylines during that entire plot can attest, she nailed it for each one of us.

In our conversations, Ambrosia demonstrated great insight into why Sceluscio can come across as cold and worked closely with me to craft a scenario that would be emblematic of a therapeutic intervention (as only D&D can do it). And this wasn't unliterally dictated; Ambrosia was quite egalitarian and collaborative in learning about my character and weaving what she learned into a personally significant moments. Whenever I needed clarification, she took the time to walk me through her ideas, heard mine, and we walked along this storytelling journey together. She was also such a cheerleader, too, whenever I shared something I'd written or proposed an idea; she acted as if she was my biggest fan. I was treated with such unconditional positive regard, a truly precious gift from a DM to a player.

Oh! I did find one quote I sent to her during one of our chats that I thing sums things up nicely: "Thank you for all that context! It helps understand the why and what, so I know how to RP the situation more appropriately!" That is basically her approach in a nutshell. She wants you to feel like an involved, competent, and confident participant in the storytelling.

I also wish to apologize for taking this long to write something! I've been dealing with some real-life personal distractions that have made this post long overdue, so please forgive me for not saying something sooner. Ambrosia, I appreciate you an incredible amount, I admire you a ton, and I am grateful for you. <3 Or, as the kids say, your foot is on my neck, and you ate me up and left no crumbs!

Thank you for the great event! I loved the panicked run through the tunnels, the desperate fight to disrupt the ritual, and the final confrontation with the baddy. Thank you so much!

We all play this game for the unique opportunity for a game to feel personal and organic, the ephemeral moments where our avatar(s) feel like they have a type of gravity and weight in a world of our own creation.

A tip of the cap to this absolute SAINT who seems to be everywhere all at once giving us the proper RP feels

I see what you're doing for so many folks here and it's beyond appreciated, wherever that lands

Thank You!

So.Much.Agency!

If I hadn't taken myself out of the equation in one group/plot. I would have had three big fun concurrent things going and Ambrosia is behind it all. The point being she does a lot for a lot of characters!

Special thanks for SMI research, making learning fun ]8)

Today's event was wonderful - and this plot has been great. Twists! Turns! Connections! Piles of dead dwarfs! Woo!

Also, I got to use my unholy anti-Good powers for a change, that's worth the price of admission alone!

What a way to wrap up a plot, Amby. Thanks for entertaining our "outside the box" ideas, and kudos to you and Pleth for the new areas you both created for us to play in.

It was spectacular!

I was a late comer to the Giant War but what I got to be a part of was absolutely amazing! Juggling two sides with PCs on both and keeping it fun and not 'choo choo' feelings for the losing side is really hard to do and you did it with such grace.

Every little touch has been fantastic! And the areas themselves were remarkable, (thanks Pleth too!) and made it come alive.
